I've had literally dozens of 7 kill matches since achievements were introduced but now I finally have ace of spades. In a 3:45 match!

 

So, 8-9 is fairly common amongst MechSpec'rs. Anyone have the Death Star Achievement? I figure it's impossible without Private Matches and D/Cs.

 

Even with Private matches you couldn't since achievements don't count. You would need a sync drop of 2 12-mans to do that...

Your best chance is to hide in an assault mech every match, with target info gathering, and wait for your team to get rolled 11-0. Hopefully your team did enough damage to open a lot of the enemy team.

A Raven-3L on a big map like Alpine might be a better chance at this as well...

 

I know it's not LIKELY, I'm just wondering if anyone in the world has had that 1-in-a-million chance to actually have it happen! I would LOOOOVE to see it!

 

Me too, I thought it was a 1-in-a-million to see a guy get 11 kills....

 

When I ran through the Cadet Period for my sister-in-law in a CTF-3D(C) I had 2x 10 kill matches, but, with Starter ELO, that doesn't count.

I would be AMAZED to see the one round where some guy gets lucky enough to have that final shot on all the enemy mechs and get 12 kills. I hope PGI/IGP/NGNG/jesus posts it. I want to see it. My guess is a Dual-Gauss 3D/JM6 or a RVN-3L. One or the other, but, my money is on the dual-gauss. More than likely a Jump-Sniper watching EVERY contact that came up.

 

Sooo... best bet is to:

1) Start a new account.
2) Try to lose a bunch of games in the weight class of choice
3) Use MC to shortcut power through the mech of choice without needing to perform well
4) Turn God mode on and slaughter the low ELO peasants...

If only I weren't a douche... I mean if only I was... wait...

 

Interesting Theory but the problem is that the over under on ELO is 1500. Which means even if you have a 0 ELO you will still play with players that have an ELO of 1500 which would be considered average. Average Joe is going to steal that 12th kill LOL and that is assuming that there are enough players online within that ELO spectrum otherwise they will shoehorn in higher ranked ELO players to fill the gaps.

Okay, first off TF9, your Leopard Spider looks like my ex's always inappropriately dressed Italian aunt!

Second, TFun, you suck. I hate you. You must be cheating. No one can be that good. Mech Jesus would not allow that. 30T mech with 9 kills and almost 2k damage??? God... [size=8pt]I wish I was you.

 

2 ERLL + Arty + Air on a small ECM platform, sure makes it possible. Not saying TFun isn't awesome, cause he is, but that's the recipe you need to make that particular PWNpie.

 

That's more like it! Story time to answer the questions and settle the rumors:

It was a 1v5-7 base defense, both strikes used of course (and probably pretty good ones, shame that cool guys don't look at explosions). It took 15 minutes because I got legged, and had to walk across map to find the AFK hunchie who drew the tie.

Build was 2 MLas 1 ERLLas, as the RVN-3L is a stronger 2ERLL harass poker due to reduced silhouette and has one more internal and external DHS. The lack of JJs can be played around most of the time.

 

Conquest round on Canyon, my lance didn't back up the pugs (or the pugs weren't in a position to be backed up and got rekt, whichever). Anyways, Alpha lance rolls in from behind on Kappa where the shit went down, and pulls a 4v11 comeback in about 2 minutes flat (see battle time), no casualties. Evidently someone in my cockpit got a show ;p.

 

Finally got 8 Kills in a match and so unlocked the Ace of Spades Achievement... YAAYY!! Finally! But damn, no 1K+!? Grrrr... :angry:

I pretty raped most of them all by myself. In the End 1v1 against 2 Atlases, a K2 and finally even the last Spider hiding in the base. Ow, before that i took out some Turrets all by myself. haha
