I know this is just a minor alteration of a few builds I've seen, but this build absolutely murders slower mechs. I've experimented with reducing the number of SRM tubes to get Artemis but feel that the role this build fills doesn't require the tighter spread. I stay back with my assault mech friends and poke with the large pulse laser then when wait for opportunities to get right behind someone and unload your SRM 16 and crit the exposed parts with your MG's. I took out a full health atlas this morning with 2 full alphas to the back and that isn't a unique experience. In my first three matches with this build today I had 719dmg 4 kills, 503dmg 2kills 7 assists and the last one was just shy of 1000 with 896dmg and 4kills. I don't typically get damage like that outside of my light mechs so I was pretty surprised. One weakness of this mech is definitely the low armor in the legs as I was legged a few times so maybe one less dhs to max armor out?
Nice. I've been looking for a good chassis to use a Large Pulse on. Since this mech only has the one hard point for energy it might work well in this type of build. You scare me with how much armor you've stripped out, and I feel like I get along just fine with one ton of ammo for my 3 machine guns (since I'm terribly paranoid about camping for too long to use them), so I've tweaked it to be more in line with my style:
Yeah it does haved low armor in some spots but it just forces me to play cautiously, also it has full armor in all the places that matter I've had almost nobody intentionally focus on my legs just a few lucky shots from LRMs or streaks. But I basically keep the MGs firing nonstop when I'm in range to annoy and distract people while my friends open up their armor.
This actually makes more sense than having the Large Laser. But 4 stars for lower armor. The 2 extra tons for the LPLaser costs you a lot, but the LPLaser makes total sense here.
max armor! Match with ShadowHawk 2H 1xERLLas 2xsrm6 3xmg: 3 kills 4 assists 5 component 539 damage! 2 of my kills involved me standing on a ledge in Tourmaline shooting ppl in the back (yes very dishonorable) This is the same mech but with ERPPC - haven't run it yet:
needs some tuning, but it's so fun ! -armor is too low on legs ! and they store ammos too, needs to be more -needs more cooling for sustained brawls -close range, better having max mobility with 3xJJs -to do this I dropped to 2000 mg rounds, can easily tune to 4k if one wants, but this opens armor so fast that 2000 are usually enough.maybe it could use a 5th ton of SRM in the closes games, but I find this variant the most balanced. rated 5 stars anyway, thanks for sharing, this is a nice alternative to the 2xAC5, 1xAC2, was searching for something worth a swap for totally different playstyle, and this is it
