My second stop on the journey up the Cicada skill trees. The large laser in the ct always made me think of a mosquito.
This is a great build. Working on the Cicada's with you this week has been an excellent experience in the war against futility. Myth.
Thanks for the idea - I went a little different and stuck to the 300XL since you really lose the tons jumping from 15 in the 300XL to anything higher. So, I go a little slower and I ran out of slots with extra tonnage to spare but I figured a bap, plus the extra HS, and a little more armor was worth it. CDA-2B
I'm gonna try this one out Dropped a DHS (since it is already insanely heat efficient) and brought the armor close to max. Just prefer a little more staying power with a little longer reach!
Hmm, maybe I fire too much and scoot too little but only 13 HS worries me. In my Jenner F with 6 ML, I have 14 HS and really have to watch my heat in battles with other lights and still shutdown probably twice a match. I would like the extra speed and bit more armor. I'll wait to see how my build goes before trying out your 2nd one.
I run with a XL300 and only AMS for some more armor. THIS build is beautiful. I only wish I didn't get cored as often as I do.
I found myself overheating a lot with 4Mlsr and 1Llsr. So i made it like this. You replace two mediums with 2 small lasers and add one heat sink. A lot of the time you are fighting within 90-100 meters, and that is where those small lasers outperform the mediums. More heat sinks + less heat consumption makes this more heat efficient.
Just a question, do you try to keep similar mechs in the same thread or do you make a new thread for as much as a medium laser or 10 points engine size difference? Sometimes these things can make a big difference and sometimes it is just nit picking.
