A mech I'm pretty fond of, those Gauss rifles have saved my bacon more than once :)

it's a very powerful setup! I prefer this build on a CTF-3D because of JJs.

p.s. always activate Endosteel before FF (u gain more free tonnage!)... and Double Heatsinks! both are a must-have

Remove ferro fibrous, add endo-steel, remove a med and youcan fit a 300XL and more ammo :

This build is just a killer!

Hmm Gauss as main armament. Now the only question is: Will it be hell on the enemy, or on the pilot trying to shoot something ^^

Have you ever seen a Locust get Cored thru the side torso and the Center torso at the same time?

    This build, right here.

Pretty much, also, nothing better than headshotting unexpected players and killing them instantly...Not that I've ever been that lucky but who knows maybe one day :3

I have been using this build for about 4 weeks and decided it was time to put it up.

Modules Used: Advanced Zoom, Advanced Sensor Range, Air Strike

    Play Style:

Sit back at max range and try to get above the action so I can view down into it. Then I hit as many Long Range targets to interrupt their support for their team. The Advanced Sensor Range allows me to see if any non-ECM mechs are trying to approach my position so I can turn and face them.

    Objectives:

Light Mechs: Close Range I shoot at the legs with MLas and Gauss if I feel I can blow a leg off. after that finish as normal.
Long Range I aim for Center Mass on front or back of mech. If you hit with the double Gauss on the back of the Light Mech it will 1 shot it 99% of the time.

Medium/Heavy Mechs: I use the Gauss as much as possible to hit center mass from a distance and at close range. If a part of the mech is weak I will hit with Mlas or Gauss to destroy it.

Assault Mechs: I stay as far away as possible and focus on Legs and Arms to remove weapon systems and prevent movement.

Here is a screenshot of a recent match with this build.

Merged. Basically the same build with minor adjustments.

How I run my Ilya when I feel like dual-gauss. Too easy to fit 60 shots, 3 mediums and two gauss with an XL300, not sure how you could play it any other way. Otherwise you are better off running a Jager or K2 for dual Gauss or the 3D for Jump Jets.

But going 76 kph with gauss rifles and 3 mediums is very powerful.
