Role: Spotter/Fire Support Recommended Modules: Advanced Sensor Range, Advanced Target Decay, Improved Air Strike Typical Engagement: Spot and lock, re-position Weaknesses: Enemy Light Mechs Alternate Builds: Dropping some speed/TAG and adding AMS can help you with streaky lights before getting back to friends. Play Notes: Essentially you will use your speed and JJ to avoid close combat, with an ERPPC for defence and long range ECM counter.

It would be nice if the one that rated this build "one star crap" presents his arguments. Sure it is not the build of the year, but it's pretty ok. edit: I'm personally worried about poor heat dissipation. Did you tried slower engine (XL310 or XL300) and added DHS?
I like using BAP on missile boats to increase sensor range (stacking with module) and the slight increase in lock time, however, on a mech this light, I would use the weight for Heat Sinks. With an XL320 and removing the Beagle, you can throw three more DHS in there, only losing 5kph and a slight Sensor Range decrease. The BAP lock on time is hardly worth it unless you stack with Artemis. I would mod as follows: My 2¢. Chatt.
Artemis doesn't stack with BAP, as stated by PGI. BAP+Tag stacks, Art+Tag stacks, Art>Bap and doesn't stack. However, your variant is better still imo, ERPPC + any other non-AC5 or gauss weapon needs additional heat dissiptaion because that 15 heat is an absurd amount.
PGI says a lot of things. Artemis effects Streaks (which it's not supposed to) and I believe Vergere did some play testing proving that Art. and BAP stacked... Who knows! PGI can never get their story straight. Either way, BAP on this light of a mech using LRMs seems like unneeded weight.
Firstly, really appreciate the comments. I should of made it pretty clear, this isn't for solo pub. You are pure lance support that can still do damage from the hiding spots you take. I'll explain a little. IMH Heat is always an issue! So it should be too. But as this spotter it's not as critical as a front/second line mech. You do not 'rain fire' down on your enemies. I shoot the ERPPC when safe appropriate to do so (like I know they will shortly be in cover), or when I see an atlas/light providing ECM cover. First shot enables lock on, second show enables re-aquire of locks while missiles in flight (not my missiles in this situation). Shooting some with a erppc alerts them to your location - generally your not even firing your own LRMs unless you are about to re-position, or find it situationally beneficial. The ERPPC is used for ECM disabling, when you missiles are out, and deterrent to enemy lights that can stay close. PPC here couldnt be used In a real combat situation, since you are a spotter, you will be not in too much of a position to use as you want to just perform pop out .5 second locks every 3.5 seconds. Also, you NEED speed as a spotter. For more solo play, I run a streaky version.
