This imposing monster comes equipped with enough weaponry to make even your toughest opponents tremble at the knees! Let's start with the 2 PPCs, there's nothing quite like smashing your enemies in the face with searing orbs of energy as they march towards their deaths. At closer range why not treat your opponents to a 40+ point damage alpha that's sure to make their armor glow! Worried about pesky light mechs? The Large Pulse lasers will send them running for the hills! And lets not forget about the triple machine guns, these babies will wreck internals faster than a vindaloo curry! The supercharged XL375 engine gives the Barry 2000[sup]TM [/sup] a superior advantage when navigating the battlefield. Be sure to use the lightning fast torso twist to shield your mech with the specially designed right hand shield arm. And to top it off, the Barry 2000[sup]TM [/sup] comes equipped with an Anti Missile System. Protect yourself or your team mates from those pesky LRM boats while you home in on their position and crush their worthless bodies! So why wait? Build your very own Barry 2000[sup]TM [/sup]today!!!
The poor Barry 2000™ plowed through the enemies, he didn't pay enough attention to his open shoulder. 'I ain't got time to bleed' as he used to say, which turned out to be correct. At that very moment a spray of LBX-10 pellets found their way through the smoldering endo-steel, abruptly ending their path in the XL engine. A violent shout, shortly followed by the meltdown of a fusion core was the last message the late Barry 2000™ was able to convey to his enemies. As if rising from the dead, Barry returned however, in order to avenge his former self and continue to lay waste to all red triangles in his path. Nobody would stop him now, in his new life as Barry 2001©. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=119&l=7463d91b885194b382dbdc65e9b899d488840a67 Long story short: XL engines in a battlemaster might be okay for some but in my opinion the side torso's are too vulnerable. This is a version with a STD300. LPL can be switched back to the torso from the arm, but especially as the anti lights weapon it might be a good idea (now you have a slower torsotwist) to use the mobility of the arms.
The Barry 2001[sup]TM[/sup] is definitely a viable option! I do prefer to keep the weapons in the torso though as they are mounted quite high which is excellent for peeking!
It is better for peeking indeed, but you got the PPCs for that, LPL have pretty short range in comparison!
That's true too, but you can peek above a ridge and alpha with all energy weapons in your torso. It's quite effective!
