Yeah, finally broke the 1k ! Twice! Without arty! The clans (little Dire Whale, come to momma) and eliting my Jenners really helped. The first one was while exp'ing my JR7-K (4 med pulse) The end game was epic, being the last alive, red all over, I cored 3 mechs in a row while jetting across the canyons... Then got the last one that was hiding near our base Second one with the classic JR7-F (6 med lazors), it didn't felt as epic but... http://i.imgur.com/n2AFzLG.jpg[/img] I really love this lil' machine! Best score with the JR7-D so far is 800... Not quite there yet!
Finally broke the K with the Oxide, yeepee! I did drop an arty at the end (last chance arty: I was last man standing with no ammo :unsure: ) but it apparently did not hit anything, so all damage was dealt with SRMs.
Impressive, considering the ammo constraints I understand an Oxide runs into. As well as overcoming the flightlessness on Alpine.

Awesome, thanks. I sure wish I aimed as well as you do with SRMs I love how you were cored seconds after firing your last missiles
For the Leaderboard contest I played the Oxide (usual build: 4 SRM4s with 6t of ammo) with a little more arties than usual, and got three 1000+ games (iirc the first was without strikes, but it looks pretty high damage so I'm not sure anymore... haven't recorded unfortunately): 1300... and we lost... snif... (and now that I achieved my personal objective of 2200 points I will work on my tan and let the others overtake me)
Wow, epikt, that is REALLY impressive! You know, ever since I bought the Oxide, I've rather hated it. The only thing that ever worked well in the past was 4-Streaks, and I prefer to actually aim my weapons for certain components. So I pushed it to the back shelf, and haven't run it in forever. Now though, with SRMs working so well, I should really rig this thing up with some normal SRMs. Maybe we could group up some time and do a pair of 'em . . . that would be awesome fun!
We can do that, ping me if you see me online. Though we might encounter a problem: this is a terrifying PUG machine but is less fitted to the group queue (except if you're matched on a brawler comp). It can be frustrating, you need to be patient and wait for the range to close in, it's sometimes very tempting to do inconsiderate moves and die miserably from two meta-snipers having nobody else to shoot at.
I had to create an account for this. I've never done damage even close to this before. I have only been playing this game for a little over a week I think. JR7-F was the first mech I ever purchased. I've seen so many 1000+ boards under this, and other mech forums thinking "Someday perhaps." Had checked the FAQ bfore, was just missing the "s" to make it work . Thanks spidermod . Modules : Radar Derp, SPLas CD5 & Range5 Did not use an Airstrike, or anything, besides plain old SPLas...also, was a solo dropped QuickPlay Match .
Keeping the dmg alive in 2018. 4 srm4s, xl 280 and 5 tons of srm ammo. Rare 1000 dmg from this mech considering if you miss a few volleys of missiles, the coverted 1k dmg will disappear. Consumables were coolant and uav.
Yet another 1000+ dmg with the oxide. Snagging myself the tryhard challenge as well as showing those assaults and heavies just how well you can carry even in a light mech.
