Had a dream last night where I went to a dealership to buy a replacement for my car. They had a sale on Spiders for $30 but I decided I didn't want one because the cockpit couldn't comfortably fit two people. So... I made a meme.
Much Fuel Consumption? Nuclear power = bad for environment (as are weapons of destruction) This is pure comedy gold.
Funny but you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to take something good and point out ridiculous flaws in it. The Locust is just bad. I realized after checking this that the particular mech I chose doesn't have endo/ferro. The principle is still going to be applied to every other mech, but for the Daishi they are going to have to use the special rule you see below that prevents you from changing which gun is in the arm. If you read between the lines, they seem to be choosing a way to disallow combinations of large ballistics on Clan mechs. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/149184-omnimech-rules-and-construction/
I'm not sure anyone cares at this point but here's another example of how to do this correctly. You take a good mech (to be painfully obvious I chose a Highlander this time) and you come up with odd/stupid/strange reasons not to buy it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xECUrlnXCqk This joke is overdone anyway. The original post was kind of funny, but now it's just silly.
I agree. None of it is all that funny. It just annoys me when people misuse memes so I was trying to demonstrate how you'd apply the meme in the appropriate fashion. But I guess the mechspecs off topic section doesn't find memes as interesting as I do. If nothing else I find them to be a fascinating social experiment. One which clearly failed here...
Started reading thread, then got linked to 2/10 meme, which encouraged me to scrutinize photos of beautiful women, and now it's like half an hour later. I suppose it's only kind to leave a like.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Based on the fact that the base loadout REQUIRES 7 critical slots in each arm to work, you will be able to fit, at the very least, an LB 10-X and two ER LLas in each arm. It would also be possible to equip a UAC/10 and 3 ER LLas in each arm. If they don't restrict the hardpoints on the arms, you'd even be able to have dual UAC/20's...
