    Discovered that this set of weapons could be fitted without much sacrifices. I really like combination "2x PPC + 2x AC5" for the Scottish, but, have all the guns on one side is a little uncomfortable. So I added 1 SRM6 making some changes (compared to my previous variant) and looked like this: lowered to 15 DHS -> sufficient for good cooling; removed the AMS -> was very helpful but at least now the left arm (shield) has a bit more armor, and other parts also; only one JJ now -> for 3 seconds of flight (one second JJ would add only 1 more additional second and is very heavy [2 tones each]. A very important feature is: if you shoot only "2x AC5 + 1x SRM6" have a great sustained DPS = 9.67 points damage per second and Cooling Efficiency = 113% (never overheat). The SRM6 has 1 ton of ammo (usually should be enough) and without Artemis (the cone of propagation is more open but is easier to hit, especially in "small hairy delights"). See the loadout:

    Hi dude, you asked for my opinion. Here it is:

    The 2x PPC + 2x AC5 Combo is very popular, it's considered as replacement for the nerfed Gauss+PPCs Combo. Besides you get a cool high dps weapongroup whenever the PPCs pushed heat to super high levels.

    The disadvantage of this approach - you sacrifice super much of tonnage for 4 heavy gunz, so forcing you to drop alot of missile firepower/defense backup. If you drop in a premade team this is no problem, but in random pugs you can have problem in defending yourself against annoying Lights. In most Games a bunch of skilled Lights can annihilate a group of Heavy Snipers within few minutes.

    My only tip is to drop one of the heavy gunz and rellocate the freed tonnage to a more balanced Loadout with better Defense Power and maybe also better Cool Efficiency for sustained dps.

    What i don't like in your build is the superlow Armor of the left Arm. But can be fixed by dropping 1t Ammo. Personally i like to have some more SRMs (or Triple Streaks) in this Mech to make it more deadly in close range terminate engagements.

    Don't get me wrong, in premades your build is a classic Heavy Metal Build - excellent in it's role. So my Alternatives are just to make it fit more my likes. ;)

    Alternative #1: replacing the 2xAC5 by a single AC10:


    Alternative #2: dropping one PPC for more close range terminate power + superb sDPS:

    Hello friends, your colleague Blagg put some interesting comments and I'll point out a few points on which I disagree a bit (but it does not say he is wrong, just sometimes have a different view on the subject)...

    - I think the combo 2x AC5 + 1x Srm6 provides a good defense against the lights: the SRM6 has spread ever wider cone providing some impacts (close), with 2x AC5 try to shoot only the legs of these lights, it usually repels the attack (when it's just one or two lights), they nap like that!. Incidentally, this combo is great against other weight classes, since it allows constant and sustained high DPS shots.

    -The combo 2x PPC + 2x AC5 works magnificently, but 2x PPC + 1x AC10 seems not. The AC10 works best with LLas, in my experience. I tried it here, but without good results (has good punctured, however, the difference between the speed of shots AC10 and PPCs is very large, perhaps). Look:



    -What surprised me most was, however, was his objection on the supposed "low" level of armor on the left arm, The Klingon has just 16 points, but adding up the points with the internal structure of this arm (30 points) have total 46 points for that side shell, is enough for me ...

    -I would take the 16 DHS in Kingon, but 15 also work good, when the reactor heats much, shooting with only two cannons (2x AC5) and, if within range, with SRM6 too. I'd rather have 5 tons of ammunition AC5, be able to fire them without moderation. :D

    - I'm a great fan of various constructions Blagg, but we differ on a few things (which is very natural) ...

    - Blagg Zear! I really appreciate your willingness to always timely review and evaluate our "works", always indicating relevant and alternative ways, TY!!

    as said already, your concept is well-proved. The alternatives are only to make it fit my likes. What you said is absolutely legit. GL and see yah on the battlefield! ;)
