This build is the result of a joint effort between myself and our colleague SubjectSeven. Initially I was using the variant with 2x PPC and 5 MLAs, but need a punch better for longer distances. So I added 1 ERLLas and removed 3 MLAs. For me the engine XL is very fragile with the thunderbolt; the "std 275" is good however. Aspects about its suite of weapons: 1º) Its 18 DHS!! ensure great heatcapacity and fast cooling; 2º) Between 90 and 270 meters has a "strong" alpha strike of 39 points damage; 3º) Not occurs heat penalities. 4º) For the close combat (below 90 meters, when the regular PPCs no have effect) can we use the guns "1x ERLLas + 2x MLAs" and these can be triggered by a reasonable time. 5º) The nicest: the 2 PPCs fire in the same height of the cabin and the ERLLas fire immediately below, permitting that you expose yourself less (out of cover, shoot and back -> hit and hide). Ty.

    Oooooh, me likey!

Gotta try it out. I've been running only the 2xLL 5xML STD300 and 2xPPC 5xML STD280 variants so far. The loss of 6 alpha damage may be worth the longer range punch.

Personally though, I'd prefer to have my medium lasers in my right arm, just so it's easier to track various locations or sweep light's legs (though I assume they're there to have the Large Laser on top, that 'add first system' is buggy in the MWO client). Also, I put the PPCs in the same torso side for convergence reasons. Of course most of your damage will be in the right side, but you can then use your left side on purpose as a body block shield.

Enjoyed your idea SubjectSeven, especially the convergence of PPCs. However I modified a bit and emptied the left arm also moving the DHS was there, so I have the right arm more armor too. I'm changing the loadout entry ... Thank you friend! Now it's fine!!

Good catch on the DHS, I'd move that to the LT as well.

Another small idea. While having two MLAs in the arm is good, that such a move also 1 of MLAs for Left torso? There are two reasons for this: 1) Balance, if the torso right is destroyed the left torso would be with two weapons to fight; 2) "Upholstery", the MLAs finish filling all spaces increasing the maximum chances of a critical impact there, thus adding health to the left torso (better to lose a weapon or DHS that entire torso). What do you think? Look the loadout alternative:

Just checking all the possibilities ...

Whatever you prefer :) They're good reasons. IF you think it could run a bit hotter you could probably even run ERLL.
Will be testing build and posting a video somewhere later today.

Yes, some issues are purely preferential, and "equally advantageous alternatives". How can you perceive and conclude, we are dividing the credit for the creation and development of this powerful and logical variant (as you know, play with the thunderbolt [and especially 5SS] effectively, is a bit difficult). We come to good conclusions and the alternative with the ERLLas has a cool sound (adds more damage and can be perfectly manageable!). SubjectSeven, if you make the video, share link with us; ty frend and see later.

I tried changing the regular LLas for the ERLLas (SubjectSeven idea) and I proved the difference ... The increased heat is minimal, but produces more damage at long range!! (For this reason I changed the loadout entrance again). In my opinion is now "perfect"...

    Dude...

I might just have been lucky, but this build is a monster.
Even on caustic it was very easy to manage the heat by dropping frequent PPC shots.
The torso mounted laser is much higher than I anticipated.

First match I tried (short on time atm), 11 assists (so easy to tag with ERLL), 558 damage, most in the match. Got a few component destructions, and even missed a lot of PPC shots or it would probably have been 700-ish.
2nd match same story: 580 damage, 1 kill 10 assists missed a lot of PPC shots cuz I suck :D

The versatility of this build is amazing, and especially its long-range pwoer to soften targets up is much better than the other builds with 5xML, 2x X. Since the ERLL does almost similar damage to 2 lasers, you're trading in a bit of speed, 1 ML damage and shield arm for something that performs superb!

    5/5 all the way.

Ohh yeah! I think we did a decent job here (finding smart solutions)!! I will continue thunderbolt tests (including other variants 9SE and 5S). Thank you so much SubjectSeven (by the coauthored) and readers who has been accompanied this our constructive work. :D

Nice video (and an adequate description)! In it we can well appreciate the versatility of this build. Ohh yes, seven kills!! (PrintScreen). Very cool (this also demonstrates its lethality). Congratulations frend!

I love this loadout with the ERLL. It actually makes alpine tolerable. Finish highest or within top 3 on damage over and over.
