Was any of that new? I get the impression most of it was recorded a month ago. And why is NGNG involved in this? I would have thought a dev vlog would have been produced in-house.

I think PGI-IGP could learn a lot from SOE by watching their Planetside 2 dev videos. The production value doesn't have to be high to provide a little info to your players. A little transparency would go a long way to ease the community's concerns.

More crocks of shit! This information was all before the xmas holidays by the sounds of the video. My guess is that it had to go through approval before it was released and they made sure that no dates were mentioned in regards to community warfare and all. Spin spin sugar! Spin spin sugar!

TL;DW: Blah blah blah Community Warfare is coming blah blah blah Clans are coming blah blah blah No new Unseen mechs blah blah blah We've been working on things blah blah blah UI 2.0 blah blah blah into your hands soon.

Honestly? NGNG? Really? For an OFFICIAL production that is just fucking cheap. None of those clowns have any training and thank god that faggot [REDACTED] isn't on there talking about [REDACTED] *eyeroll* Those guys have sucked so much dick and asked all the right scripted questions to get the right scripted answers that it is hard to tell where the PGI dick ends and the NGNG mouth begins.

Fuck it, I would donate more money and have Mech Specs do a weekly youtube show kind of like what Star Citizen does. You guys ever see Wingman's Hanger? At least I can stand to listen to Michael where as that [REDACTED] guy sounds like FABULOUS!!!!! /sarcasm Seriously. Michael. Do it. Now.

I'm underwhelmed. I mean it is good that they are at least TRYING but, like this game, they are more often failing than not. I know of Star Citizen and I have seen their podcasts and webcasts and that Hanger thing. Far more professionally done and they do it themselves rather than use a fan based site.

Poorly planned scripted questions. We have no idea who they were submitted/asked by and yeah Darren does tend to sound very monotone. That is one of the reasons I stopped going to their podcasts. The other two reasons were Phil and that chick they have on once in a while.

I would second mech specs doing a weekly webisode but I would imagine that would require subscriptions from us in order to view so as to make it worth their while. I guess I would be down with a small monthly subscription or something like that in order to view 4 webisodes a month. How about it Michael? At least we would get some REAL questions and maybe even some of our own questions found out and answered?

haha, such bitterness. I agree that is was more of no-news/rehashed news/soon[sup]TM[/sup] but that isn't suprising. Just because it's on a video instead of written in a dev post, the answers are the exact same only now there are fewer questions asked and they're not vetted by the community to at least get a good pool of questions on the ask sheet.

With their first video, you think they would have took some more hard-hitting questions, or at least technically-driven ones such as why they went the route of ghost head and throw up some charts or something to make the visual medium worthwhile. This is 'ask the devs' as in developers; as in, the hard/technical questions that they know how to answer a particular question in a technical nature, not ask the c-suite 'geniuses' giving a high level, strategic overview of neutered bleh.

All I really got from the video format over the traditional ATD posts were that Paul and Russ are obviously stress-eating at a dangerous rate and really need to drop some pounds (or kilograms for you Canadian friends).

That, they should take a break from the neck beards and have their Senior Environment Artist answer/ask some questions

Star Citizen always makes their marketing girl ask the questions at least :)

Wut? They look the same as they always have to me... and what does that have to do with anything?

Negativity aside I suppose this is a step in the right direction. Just get NGNG out of it, drop the slow-pitch Q&A, show us some interesting stuff, and maybe have a little fun with it.

I mentioned this already but for those of you who don't pay attention to PS2 here's an example of what I'm talking about:

If PGI did something like this I don't think anyone would complain. It wouldn't answer all the questions we have, it wouldn't resolve all our fears, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.

I thought that was the point of PGI even starting this video. Obviously the info is old, but it at least puts the "correct" information out there. My biggest issue was the Audio, and how bad it was. Otherwise, it's just a good start that needs a few tweeks. First is how fast they can get it to use, and the second is the technical work that needs to be done to make this even better.

Well that is the biggest difference. PGI's video was vague and provided no new information. The PS2 video series was all new info (strictly in video format and not written up in a forum post anywhere) with very specific information on what the issues are and how they're fixing them.

But I suppose it is the first vlog in a possible series. So... maybe they will be less vague in the future? Soonâ„¢.

Dude, they should at least dangle some new carrots. I don't see any in this one... old news mostly.

Also, in regards to doing a weekly web show? LOL I don't know if there is enough actual content to warrant a weekly web show but maybe bi-weekly or monthly would be cool. It is something I have never considered before. Having ones voice on the internet is one thing but having ones face all over the internet? That is something different. Green Screen and Camera are required and I have neither.

What a worthless company with obvious morons running their product into the ground.

Anyone actually listen to these people? They don't even give a fuck, it's almost comical.

    And so the hate continues,

Yeah, I have a Camera, but no green screen or software or even Experience to make a video like that look better than what this video had. But, if I did, I would not make a show about this game. The viewer count would be too low, and it would be too focused on people like US(Mech Experienced Players). I think I would make a show on Mechanical Videogames, for a broader viewer count; and for broad opinion's to come in to the video's comments.

Which one is better, it doesn't matter. PGI needs to make this game more stable and useful before others want to make their own Art and Video's with MWO. Until that happens, this game is just a grind for xp and cbills.

on that bombshell, I want to thank every person who provided feedback on this video. It's obvious that the video series from PGI is going to need work, and I hope they improve it very fast.
