This is my favorite build for the K2, and one I'm fairly successful with. Keep the medium lasers on chain fire, and you'll be alright even on terra therma. I normally link the ac10s, but you can chain fire them if you prefer. This build can alpha 3-5 times depending on the map before it hits 90% heat. It does not carry AMS, but the 66 km/h speed makes it easy enough to dodge.

This is a good build, though you leave some tonnage on the table. I'd shave some armor off the legs and throw in an XL280 engine for some extra speed.

I would also probably exchange 1 DHS for an extra ton of ammo since 60 rounds is a little low for my tastes. I prefer 90 rounds, though 75 may be sufficient.

I run mine like a gausscat, big engine, lots of ammo, good heat, front loaded armour . This build works great at range and on the edges of a brawl, just don't get caught in the open :).

Here's the version of this build that I run. As usual, I choose to go with a bit of a compromise between speed, ammo, and overall survivability. Thus, I carry 7 tons of ammo for 105 shots, and I replace two of the MLasers for SPLasers, mainly for overall heat efficiency, and also because I generally prefer to load pulses in the torso rather than standard lasers. I also try to balance the armor overall, obviously giving the legs more priority than the arms, and I lose a few points out of the head as well.
All such minor differences aside, though, this is definitely a great build. The sound of those AC-10s solidly punching their way through components every 2.5 seconds is extremely gratifying. ;)

This build is pretty impressive. I'm using the 4ML / 280 XL version cause I had that engine lying around. It runs a little hot if you actually try to use your lasers, but not more than most builds. Its immensely gratifying to see those AC/10s punching off enemy components. Very good for PUGS.

I run mine identically to Enileph. Great build and lots of fun. I was having trouble getting into my K2, but this build made it much more enjoyable.

I actually stumbled onto this build by tweaking the K2 Hobo build, but you guys deserve credit for posting this long before I stumbled onto it.

    4/5,
Still really good even after Clan Invasion. Makes use of all the hard-points and most of the quirks. Makes an excellent support fire mech to follow in the assaults. A 40 Damage pinpoint alpha is nothing to sneeze at.
