Durable with a 30 pt. Alpha strike and 2ML's for back up. Good Heat eff. and solid speed. Great for hill humping

    So slooooooow...
Mount it on an assault to get the same speed but more armor and ammo.
The only reason to run this (actually pretty hot) loadout on the Jagermech would be that it's superior speed can be handy sometimes.
    Also very little ammo.

This is How I'd run it, though armor on legs and arms can be shaved off due to hill humping strategies and small hitboxes respectively. There aren't a lot of critical slots left though you could get an engine upgrade.

Running XLs in jagers is ill advised due to how easily the side torsos are destroyed. I did add one more ton of ammo but a 1.29 heat eff is far from being pretty hot. Just lay off the alpha button. The purpose is to hill hump and expose very little of the mech to fire the arm weapons which is something only a stalker can do in the assult class. Speed is a preference not a need so do what you will with that

I disagree about the XL problem with Jagers. They need all the weapons they can get, and the XL gets you there faster than any other engine. Plus, it also gets you out of trouble faster.

AC20s are short range weapons though, you're better off with an ERPPC + Gauss in the same arm (expose even less of your mech) if you only want to play it as hill humper exclusively. Especially the ERPPC being able to hit within 90m makes this additionally effective as a brawler and the increased torso twist from larger engine helps jagers whith their limited arms a lot. As vergere said as well, Jagers need firepower rather than survivability. Killing the enemy first IS their survivability. With a standard engine you're slowing yourself down and limiting your damage output, resulting in a worse contribution.
