[size=24pt]December Select the mechs that you have pilots at least 5 times in the month of December Votes will be counted on the last day of the month, no further updates are required on this poll after that time.
Actually, a more interesting vote could be: "what mechs have you piloted more than 5 times, not in order to grind them but for pleasure?" I piloted Orions, Thunderbolts and Kintaros more than 5 times, sure. But most of my games were just "ok I need the double XP so this pain will be over sooner". Finally, I sold the only Thunderbolt I owned, because it was just boring and I can't imagine grinding three of these mechs. I GXPed the KTO-19 (it's the first time I do that) to end the pain. I just can't count those game for this poll. Next month, when all my KTO's basics will be unlocked, I'll surely play at least few games with the LRM spam build, because it's fun, and I'll count it for the poll.
Regardless if the mech is played for fun or played for "grinding", it is still on the battlefield. Your enemy doesn't care if you are piloting a Thunderbolt because you think it is fun or if you are just grinding for XP. The weapons still hurt, the armor still has to be gouged out, and components still need to be kindly removed. I'm not interested in what your joyride is, I just want to know what mechs are being played on the battlefield. If you've played the mech at least 5 times in a month, it should be selected. Even if you hated every minute of it
This month has been dominated by the Griffin and Wolverine for me. I've barely touched my other mechs.
Blackjack and Cataphract but I'm almost only down to using Blackjacks these days. Nothing else is entertaining enough
I understand that, but results are biased by the release of new mechs. What does it tell you that lots of poeple were playing the shadowhawk? Nothing except that it's the mech of the month (I personally think the mech is great and here to stay, but we'll see that clearly only in few months). More interesting is, for example, the fact that there are twice more players piloting jenners than ravens. Or that the stalker looks suddenly out of fashion.
it is not biased, if a mech gets released I would expect it to be chosen more, so working as intended. If people are playing more shadowhawks because the mech is good and they are grinding through the variants, then that is exactly what i want to see. again, working as intended.
