It exceeds as a sniper, but its 15 dps/armor makes it work just fine as a battering ram. The burst power of UAC5's with the sustained dps of AC2's- I cannot overstate how quickly this build shreds everything. The UAC's and the AC2 are set up asymmetrically to avoid convergence problems when firing. Firing groups: 1- Both UAC5's Alpha'd 2- Both AC2's Alpha'd 3- UAC and AC2's chainfired. (for terra therma induced heat problems) I know I said I was done with mech specs- but I'll make an exception for this build. Don't bother telling me what you don't like. Use it and shut up or don't use it and shut up. I've already snuffed out the ammo loads, the effectiveness(650 avg dmg puggin,) and just passed my 2000th game in a Jager. I know what else is out there. This has its own merits that makes it a good preferential choice.
??? ?!?!?!?! Even the stock mechs come with Lasers... It's........................................................................ Just///////////////////////////////////////////////////////// NOT MIN/MAXED111!!!111
U BAG OF POOP! The stock mechs also dont have enough ammo to last 2 seconds. THE STOCK MECHS DONT PUT SIMILAR WEAPON GROUPS ON SAME SIDE. THE STOCK MECHS ARE PLAIN MISSING OVER 100 PTS OF ARMOR WHILE BEING AT MAX TONNAGE. STOCK MECH LASERS ACTUALLY REDUCE YOUR SUSTAINED DPS.(2vs14) THE STOCK MECH DOESN'T AVERAGE 650 DMG! DFGSFGDFGDFGSDFGSDFGSERTWERTQW#$%^@$#%^ GIVE IT A 1 STAR AND MOVE ON U WART.
I can't rate this build. Also, No Screenshots for your epic ammo blasting? A bit of math then... 300 shots of AC2= 600 damage. 120 shots of UAC5= 600 damage. MAX DPS=5.3, while cooling is at 37%. It won't take you long to overheat. You can dish out a fair bit of damage, but then what if you run out of ammo? YOU become SOL. Also, Lasers don't reduce DPS with autocannons. That's only if you fire them with autocannons. They are backup weapons. Know your rules.
OMG IF YOU FREKAING DONT FIRE THEM WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING THEM? 2 TONS LESS AMMO? MORE IF YOU INCLUDE HEAT SINKS? YOUR MATH SHOWED 1200 DAMAGE. IS THAT NOT ENOUGH? THE MAX DPS IS CONSIDERING YOU ALPHAING AND IS WAY OFF. THE MAX DPS FOR 20 SECONDS OF ALPHAING IS ALMOST 15 NOT 5.3. IT IS EVEN LOWER IF YOU ADD LASERS BECAUSE IT CALCULATES POORLY. SINGLE WEAPON GROUP FIRING IS NEVER CONSIDERED. THATS NEARLY 300 DAMAGE IN 20 SECONDS OF STRAIGHT ALPHA. THIS IS IGNORING THAT ITS DPS ESTIMATE DOES NOT CALCULATE THE FASTER FIRING RATE OF THE UAC5 VS AC5. Do you do anything besides empty criticism and complaining about the game? Or you always this obtuse when analyzing something? Or is it just when you have all the dildos Jammed up your butt?
Tr0unce, I've dropped well over 1200 matches with Vergere alone. I've seen his builds, and know most of them work fairly well. I'll also say that, having run this loadout before, it is not the bee's knees. It is good, but not excellent. You WILL run out of ammo in this loadout. You WILL NOT land every single shot with 100% accuracy. If you're averaging 600+ dmg per drop in this mech, good on you. I have a Jaeger that I averaged 1000+ dmg per drop on. I have a Phract I average 1000+ dmg per drop on. I have numerous mechs that show I can dish out a metric shit-ton of damage. Vergere makes valid points. All ammo-based loadouts can, and eventually do, run out of ammo. It makes you a sitting duck, and thusly, is not min/maxed. If you want to get some respect, try not opening your thread with: I might have some respect for you if you didn't show you blatantly don't care. Oh, and I don't care what you like and what you don't like about this post. Read it and shut up, or don't and shut up. Either way, go sit and spin for a while.
Community Wars huhn? The build is good though only ammo-dependent. It can deal a lot of damage, but personally i would run Chainsaw build because of Weight-Matters. Two AC2s against a third UAC5 simply cost too much tradeoff (e.g. Backuplasers against Lights etc) I would love to see some screenshots of your average damage with this build. Numbers can shut critics up, but no provocative statements like Cheers Btw apologies for ignoring you completely in that match with subjectseven and other mechspecers, but you seemed to be in bad mood (again?) All i wanted was to focus on the battle. If you think, i shitted on your builds i hope you just misinterpreted my posts. I really wanted to provide constructive feedback, but well if you react so sensible i guess it's maybe better for you not posting any builds because you have to live with criticism. I also have to in my builds. Be ready to discuss your creations and prove critcs wrong with e.g. Scoreboard.Screenshots or Gameplay Videos, or simply don't post builds if you get too hurt with critical feedback
oh no blagg, my hatred for you is actually love. Your feedback has always been spot on, and your play speaks for itself. I had been running the 3 uac 2 laser chainsaw for a while and it grew a bit stale on me. I switched up to this and had an immediate jump in damage and killing efficiency. The 3 UAC build is good but trading one down to 2 AC2's is obviously more damage, more dakka, better sniping. Just got rid of the lasers and heat sink weight and replaced with more ballistics and ammo. You move a bit slower but but the damage output means you don't really mind getting caught in a fight. I'm happier than I sound I guess- was just raised in the virtual accepted(read cool kids) vulgarity of early WoW. I wish you would come play with us on the mech spec team speak some times- seems you are always loner. We have alot of fun running jenner squads, or complimentary assaults etc. A funny thing about team play though is your damage goes down. A average more pugging, but its because we call leg targets and everything just dies before you get to put damage out, lol. It's faster money anyway but now and again i do miss senselessly spraying in pugs . Anyway I'm not on mech specs to prove anything to quasi experts(i consider you a genuine expert,) The only purpose I have for putting builds here is guide new players into builds that have worked best for me. It's not like I don't know there isn't infinite ammo, but its obviously at a sufficient level or I wouldn't be running it over and over. It's just bothersome when someone points out shallow stuff like "your dps is low" and ignore the 20 seconds of 15+ dps(300dmg) the build provides BEFORE over heating with PURE ALPHA. Smurfy is a wonderful tool- but you have to interpret the information it gives in an actual gameplay setting. 15 DPS for 20 seconds- 20 seconds of firing at any mech it is dead even if it is torso twisting like a ballerina. The dps after that then is a mute point. That's just an example. But again its not for short sighted graph nerds whose only logic is the conventional wisdom. It's for people struggling to find a fun effective build. Even with no MLas(Gasp!) the effectiveness exist. It's not like the issue of ballistic longevity isn't addressed- There is 8 tons of ammo on board. If anyone thinks that runs out often, they dont play it. Besides, I'm quite sure Vergere is just trolling. Mostly cuz I doubt hes that dumb. There's a reason for the differences in how I respond to you by comparison with him. As for the other white knights in here, go suck a toe. I play with vergere from time to time(though it's usually a teeth pulling effort to get him to ready up instead of talking about how much he hates IGP,) and the dude talks shit constantly about some mythical inferiority in a game designed around trade offs. He doesn't need you sticking up for his trolling, it makes u look like just as much of a clown as you appear to think I am,
I'm glad that you are not as sensitive as you give us the feeling. I must say i like your creations though they are somehow very uncommon for the mainstream. About joining the mechspecs team - well, due to my job i have no fix time of playing - many business trips etc. I play whenever i have some free minutes, so that's why i don't have a merc unit right now. Maybe after New Year's Eve this changes coz i change the company and maybe have more free time. Let's see.
We're all the same way. I work nights and stay at home with kids during the day. Jungle who has become my go to running mate works late but is always good for an hour or 2. Just accept the friend adds and you'll be surprised the hours groups are running. NOW ON TO THE DEMANDED, REQUESTED, DARED TO SHOW SCREEN SHOTS. These are sequential, I dont screen shot usually so I had to go play a few to get shots for the build(All PUG.) Not bothering to put in original post because I'm not that pompous, and I feel the build stands on its own merits regardless of pilot skill: http://i39.tinypic.com/2vvl7i8.jpg[/img] http://i44.tinypic.com/2ivlb35.jpg[/img] http://i40.tinypic.com/dvfqip.jpg[/img] http://i44.tinypic.com/sqoxex.jpg[/img]
Since you got bored with the Chainsaw build, have you already tried the Ultra Chainsaw Build ??? Just for fun matters? It's really awesome though limited ammo..
If you want me to be serious, by all means. http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=998.0 This is basicly what I run. And I love it. And what I will compare your build to. as it is my preference. update to follow.
lol no hadn't, i dont have a 200, but i have a 210 so maybe I'll give a try. As a general rule for mechs relying solely ballistics(not that you dont know this its obvious a fun build I just feel like putting it out there,) 8 tons of ammo is comfortable, 9 tons will hardly ever run out, 10 tons is equivalent to infinite. I know it seems strange to run such high ammo loadouts(ran 9-10 tons on triple uac build,) but the trade off is you don't need heat sinks, and you don't need lasers. So the ammo really pays itself off by saving you that weight.
I never understood the raving about dual AC20 builds on such a fragile mech. Almost every other Jager i see is dual AC/20 and they always seem so helpless. I'll run one AC20, then sniper up the other arm but limiting to such short range on a slow heavy mech makes it very difficult to use. I'm giving you the same dps with long distance sniper range. And I don't want to be serious! prefer Lulz.
Don't forget to try the Quad AC5 build with 210 bullets as well! If you drop the two MLas you can have 270 Bullets. It's simply an AC20 at high DPS (almost zero heat) at Long Range!!!
Man I have to agree with Trounce, backup lasers are for scrubs. Unless you have like 2 tons of ammo or run AC 40s. I've only run out of ammo in builds that mean to run out. And here is my pet peev, when people bash on the fact that mechs don't have lasers. The JM6 is such a great ballistics whore. Instead add, 2 tons of ammo, your more better off. I love this build, and the dakka. AC 40s are overrated, mainstreamed, tried them, boring, and IMO, they kinda suck. Keep it up Trounce. I really like your builds concerning the Jager. It seems like a hot topic concerning the JM6 so it probably depends on preference. I bet it's 'cuz I'm Steiner.
