YOU GOTTA CUT OFF THEIR LIMBS!!!! So this is my first build that I've ever really settled into On the first Chassis I ever got, So, any helpful critiques are welcome! Basically, this rig moves at a decent clip. General idea is to hunt out and remove limbs. Shave off armour with the ERLLs, punch the rest off with the AC5. All at distance, hopefully. But nailing people point-blank works, too. I love the BAP. Hunt down weak L/R Torsos! Sometimes you jackpot on an XL engine! It's like gambling! I was gonna call this thing the 'plasmacutter' because I love the deadspace games and this is kinda like that. Cut off their limbs! Anyhow. Any ideas how to make this better? Lemme know. Also: Should I get the 1C or 1N, next?
Here is my tweak: I find it a waste to not use the remaining weaponhardpoints in your build, but i like the speed!
Also, Get the 1C if you want to run an Energy boat Dragon. The 1N can be harder to fit out, as it has 2 of every weapon hardpoint in the game. 2 energy, 2 ballistic, and 2 missile. good call blagg, on that extra LL.
Welcome on the forum! A DRG-5N without 3 autocanons always feels strange. It even looks like a DRG-1C build. I like Blagg's proposition. Imho the BAP and fourth ton of ammo are not mandatory, better use more speed and cooling. You pack less fire-power than the classic 2x LLs + 2x AC/5s, you need to make a difference with the mobility. The 5N is the only Dragon I really like, because of the dakka-dakka. I really suggest you try this out. About the other variants, the good news is you can do your build on all of them if you don't find anything else to grind them! 1C make some nice energy boats (2 PPCs in the torso, 2 MLas on the arm, big engine), 1N is more balanced.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Actually, I was going to go for triple-cannon daka.... but then I bought too large an engine to make it work out. Then it just kinda settled on this.
