It now imports but doesn't actually do anything when you try and display (using the smurfy BBCode)... Code: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=7&l=0c5baded02023e70daac9803845aae9718d48c15 Also, as a side affect; whatever you were doing was interfearing with the EDIT option for vBulletin. I could post, I could delete but when I clicked SAVE on an EDIT POST it just sat and spun and spun and spun (the little loading wheel) Uninstalling the product fixed the EDIT option
hmpf ok i need to get a working vbulletin installation to test it myself. i will test that on the tomorrow/weekend.
Got it working no problem. I'm going through and editing all my personal builds to utilize the new system. Hopefully others will follow suit. I've even posted a HOW TO POST in the News section.
Suggestions for Smurfy... You might want to add Jump Jet # and Distance to the display output because there is nothing that shows jump jets right now. You might also want to add a nice little image of each mech to the very right of the statistics. Just kinda makes it look a little more pro but other than that nice to see!
I'm sure he will see these suggestions and look into implementing them. You are right in that JJ information would be quite valuable!!! In the mean time, I will be going through the current builds on the site and converting them to the new format slowly but surely. Hopefully people will utilize the new format when they start with their new submissions.
Yeah, I second the Jump Jet thing, smurfy probably just forgot to add them because they show on the left tab of his site.
He is working on it now as well as adding an option so that people can name their mechs (people like to do that kinda stuff) and perhaps even add the nice little images to spruce things up a bit.
That looks awesome! Hopefully Smurfy will be able to reproduce what you did in that image cause I gotta say! That looks sharp!
I'm trying to I will rollout an update later, with JJ, BAP and ECM also beeing displayed. As image i will use the original images from the mwomercs website (resized). i have a busy day today, so i hope i get most of michaels suggestion/ideas done.
I think that the final product will look amazing. Thank you to both Michael and Smurfy for putting so much effort into this site. It makes time spent researching builds and taking part in this community so much more enjoyable. Myth.
Tuku (thank you Tuku) and I have been converting build sheets a couple at a time (a couple dozen done so far I would think). HOWEVER; what would make this go a lot faster, and reduce wear and tear on Tuku and myself? If people would modify their own build sheets to include a link at the bottom or somewhere in the post with the Smurfy build sheet? Then I can just make adjustments as needed.
I will do my best to make the switch. The problem I have is that I can't use the Smurfy Builder at work (Where I do all of my posting) because our Security system won't allow me to run the proper scripts. It could very well take me a couple of months to change the 'Mechs I've already posted. I will try to get one or two a day done as time permits. Mythweaver:wacko:
