New spawn points are a huge improvement. Less noticeable on some maps than others but on the big maps... very nice. Lances start so far apart that it encourages lance-focused gameplay rather than blob warfare. I for one welcome our new lance overlords.
I'm usually limited to pug matches because of time constraints, it will be interesting to see if this changes the dynamic of that game in any way.
it already changed the dynamics, if people in a PUG lance feel like they can fit together, they will stick together. I've noticed a lot more lance talk happening.
I like the new spawn points too. First conquest on Caustic was a bit confusing though (edit: Alpine was even more confusing) :whacko: I really like how it led us to fight on new locations, rather than the usual lemming train to centre map.
It's not fair that I am still at work.... and that I am not going to get the chance to play tonight... or tomorrow.... Side note: Yesterday I discovered purple... and mixed it with green and black. Thank you epikt, if it wasn't for your insistance over the colour I would still be riding in the same old borish Red White and Black color scheme.
I can't explain it yet and perhaps its a small sample size, but I feel like the new spawn locations are leading to games with massive kill differentials per side.
Absolutely pathetic that this game 'launched' a couple months ago and it still has precisely dick to show for endgame. The content that's currently being rolled out is a joke. I'll check back after the holidays, but I don't have my hopes up at all anymore, this game appears dead in the water to me unless a galaxy battlefield is laid out soon and clan shit arrives. Selling crap like hero mechs gets old after a while, even the diehard mech/BT fans will eventually see this. The game needs a reason to be played.
I think even if PGI keeps delivering crap hero mechs, there will still be enough dudes out there to spend their money for it. I can foresee Hero-Mechs with 10x Ballistic Hardpoints (only!) and dudes will praise the deadliness of MGs. Or imagine an Atlas with no Energy and no ballistic hardpoints but 8x Missiles! - the ultimate Splat-Mech or Heavy Streaker or even Missile Boat. For every nasty or crap concept there will be fans who instantly spend their money for PGI. Believe me..
Same here. That's why I started this thread for collecting the new map layouts - and especially drop zones and cap points - as fast as possible.
Dude you have saved me a TON of time today!
Does this qualify as an application for the mod team?
Not sure if any humans with vaginas would touch this game, and even less likely to get some of them here. The debugging is nice, but there should not be bug in the first place. Well, the spawn point changes are good I think. *Greater visual weapon customization for the Jenner variants* are actually looking ok. New Hero is not attractive. A fatter and slower Locust S. They should have kept the JJ
Morgana will be very disappointed to learn that she's male. Many female gamers hide their gender due to the overwhelming sexism seen in the gamer culture. It's quite unfortunate, because that helps contribute to the idea that women don't play games, which increases the sexism. That then drives women away from gaming, which also reinforces the male dominance. Don't assume things about gender, treat everyone like a human, and try not to offend people unintentionally.
It's not about offensive terms (which may change), it's about offensive behaviours (which roughly stay the same).
My son's soon to be is a Gamer Gurl and she's proud of it. Even has it on her license plate. They are playing borderlands right now. My wife is actually interested in MWO and will play on my account from time to time... she gets frustrated when there is a lack of strategy in the matches... I know she is on when I hear "Well that guy is just stupid" come frome the office. She plays with the sound off because "it's a distraction" so it's not an immersion thing... more of a strategy/watch how I can make the big robot blow up thing for her. Gamer Gurls are a given. I was more interested in if we actually had females on mechspecs, as to my knowledge Morgana only posts as a visitor on the board.
No. There are a couple more that I know of but like was mentioned they tend to hide because teenage boys drool all over them. In fact I know one of them is exceptionally attractive and is only like mid to late 20s. That's like chum for basement dwellers lol
You should have seen the roleplaying genre a few years back before the LARP thing got big enough to include females in their own niches. It was chaos incarnate on forum boards or conventions. I know of five on our Mumble and that's a high percentage, even if we have hundreds of "the other kind" the ratio is still high. MMO's have greatly altered the scale admittedly. Anyhow, back on topic. Where were we?
