Looks like PGI released some more information on the Wolverine and the Griffin, both part of the upcoming Reinforcement Pack for the Phoenix Mechs. Sadly we won't be doing any videos on these as we never purchased the upgrade pack (ya can only spend so much money right?!?!?!)

Anyways, check out the current stats.

Well, the Wolverine seems like it might be worth it. The Griffin... not so much.

    WVR-6K with 375 engine = 110.5/121.5 kph (or thereabouts)

Not bad... but it's no TBT-3C. Be interesting to see if there's a build that can justify that kind of engine.

I can practically hear it crying "put pulse lasers on me" now...

Kinda mad that they even make such stupid hardpoints for the Griffin... As they already have broken fluff why not make all Mechs even remotely useful??...

I guess the GRF-3M is even usable as not all of its laser hardpoints are in the right arm, but still what a waste of a good looking mech.

Now lest just hope the size of these mediums aren't the same as a highlander or atlas..

4 energy hardpoints in right arm... that seems totally useless as you can hit arms most of the time anyway :/ Glad I didn't buy the package.

weird hardpoints are weird. So glad we'll introduce even more streak builds to the growing stable of streakhawks and streaktaros.

what if I told you that 4 MPLas also work in 2 arms with 2/2, putting all DPS in 1 arm is just as easy to disable as a YLW, but a YLW at least has 2 center torso slots.

4MPLas and 2SRM6+A with 2JJs and 16DHS is very possible and playable, but i doubt the Survivability of the Griffin in close range encounters. For fast Strike&Flee tactics it's ok if there are some obstacles or hills in the surrounding. On open fields it can be fatal to only have Short range weapons

    MAKE A ZOMBIE HUGGER!

    Griffin GRF-3M
    Engine: 275 STD
    Armor: 358 (FF)
    Internal Structure: ENDO

    Weapons & Equipment:

    Left Torso: MLas
Right Torso: 4x SRM6, 6 tons of ammo.
    Right Arm:

    Heat Sinks: 10 Double
    Jump Jets: 3

Mix and match between ammo, MLas, DHS, and JJ.

    Jumping Kintaro IOW, pretty nice.

Of course, I'd put more than just those 4 lasers in it, but the fact that you can have all of them shooting out of 1 arm is pretty boss.

Since it jumps, it's survivability should be better (should).
