Four Large Pulse Laser to open up the armor, and 3 MG to finish off the internals. It runs really hot, so I recommend firing the 4 LPLas in chain-fire, or at least in groups of two to avoid ghost heat. When you start to overheat, you can keep on firing the MGs perpetually until your heat comes down again, tough their range is a little low for secondary weapons.

    Ah, pulse lasers...

Std is good, but it's a little slow for my taste. XL version/1D equivalent of the 1G "Boarsome":

The MGs were kind of taking up much needed DHS space :D

Compared to the Boarsome, this mech is slightly slower, 2% less heat efficient and can't alpha without ghost heat. On the plus side, it has much better range and torso twist. The firepower is almost identical.

Yeah, the Boarsome definitely was an inspiration for this build, and is what got me interested in pulse lasers again. I really like the extended range the LPLas provides, since the range on the MPLas is so limited.

Truthfully, I'm not really sure why I kept the MGs in the OP. I think when I was playing the build I just wanted to screw around mowing people down. Since I don't really feel like spending so many CBills on an XL375, A STD version of your build would be to simply remove the MGs and ammo from the OP, and replace them with one DHS and AMS.

Yeah, I dropped a small mountain of C-bills on an XL375 and XL400 when I got the Battlemasters last week. No regrets though :D

I took the XL version out for a spin last night. It actually kinda feels cooler than the Boarsome, which may be just be because I was alternating the lasers in pairs and it seemed like I could get more shots in. The extra range is definitely handy.

MGs are fun, but I do like your second standard version better. The AMS would be nice since your speed is on the low end (for Battlemasters).

Yep. I'm tooling around with this some, and go back n forth between (sort of) this and a five LL build. I'm having the most fun in these monsters.

4/5 for the STD build, 5/5 for the XL380 version. By far one of the most devastating mechs Ive ever played. I can regularly drop 700+ damage games with several kills. Takes a bit of heat management, but its doable. Override and tactical shutdowns are a must.
