Smurfy is unkind to the MG rating when it comes to calculating fire power. In game this reads as 50 firepower.

The build's primary limitation is that it cannot fight at all effectively above 450 yards. For this reason I'm still considering dropping Ammo for a faster engine to force encounters at optimum range. 4 tons of AC/10 instead of 6 isn't too much of a loss and perhaps I shoulda just built the smurfy that way but I wanted to remain authentic to what I'm actually using and the XL300 Engine I own resides in my Firebrand.

Now onto what this mech does well:
Inside of 450 yards you are a terror. The 2 AC10's bring the big hits. On a ledge you can peek just your AC 10's over for a big hit. The 4 Lazers and 2 MGs provide precision which can quickly melt a component. Additionally the MGs bring the Crits en masse. It is not unusual to suddenly kill a mech by getting crits onto its engine.

Outside of that it's a simple, flexible jager. You can lose ac10 ammo for speed, increased armor, or heat sinks depending on what your play style demands.

    Firing groups:

    1- 2xAC10's
The heavily Ammo'd big guns, use liberally in any and all situations.

    2- 2xMGs, 4xMlas
The lil' stuff. Use whenever brawling or fighting in open, or in close mid range.

    3(Middle mouse button)- 2xMGs
For use in combination with your AC10's when the enemy is inside 240 yards and you are still using cover that prevents the use of your lasers or when your heat is already too high and you want to exclude lasers.

As is typical with Tr0unce builds, this one is easy to play and makes use exclusively of the mouse for firing groups and performs Alpha strikes by simply holding down left and right click.

    Happy hunting ^.^

most pilots only use the AC10, so they can use 3 more tons of ammo for the cannon. While I thing the MG ammo count is too high, it's a good choice to put it in the arms. I would take the ammo out of the head and CT and move it to the arms as well.

otherwise, it's a common build with MG's bolted on. 4-5 stars.

Well a common build with MG's makes it uncommon :p. And you'd have to play it to understand how vicious the dual MG's are.

I know its a bit over ammo'd, but as I mentioned its because I don't really have the engine to justify having less. Aside from that it uses every hard point on the mech. I do wonder what it takes to get your 5th star :p

Perfection is something we all wish to achieve, and as humans enjoy chasing. We just chase it out of ourselves.

Phooey! I even posted a pic where 3 of my teammates had 0 damage, broke 850 damage anyway, led in kills, on the hottest map, and still won!

    9v12 :(

I'd trade the MG for more armor and AC10 ammo. At higher ELO, people always check legs especially on a JM. You'd get taken out almost immediately with 19pts of armor and the ammo in there, especially if you plan to play at mid range.

    Dont worry elitist slobs!

I done with mech specs. The criticisms people offer are the least helpful self stroking nonsense of any forum I have ever been on.

Whats worse, is that these same elitist are average at best players I regularly outperform.

Let me let you guys in on a tip:
Every mech has some tradeoff for some type of advantage. Of course somehting could have more armor, or more alpha, or better cooling.

What gets me is that people seem to pretend that this trade off dichotomy doesn't exist and pretend a subjective opinion literally flattens all disucssion- when there is an inherent built in flip side to every coin so long as the build isnt doing something really stupid.

Still my best performers aren't posted here. Because It doesn't matter if I'm pulling 500 every game with 3:1 Kill ratios. It doesn't matter how easy it is to achieve with the build. It wouldn't matter if I posted 3 games of 1k dmg.

Because the only disucssion that goes on in this forum is pure masturbation.

I"m out, account deleted. Enjoy you center of the world arrogance in the vacuum you create. For whatever caustic reason this place is just not for me.

huhn? Who does he mean? Anyone offended him? If yes, apology to him! but quickly!

@Tr0unce: someone's sensitive to criticism?

    i repeat myself
don't take it too personal if someone is pointing out the weakpoints of your builds!!! No build is perfect, every build has good sites and weakpoints. For rating we need to look if the pros outweigh the cons, and if the build outweighs other builds with similar playstyle, not only some good scores. Good Pilots can pull good scores even with crap builds, doesnt automatically mean that the build is good. Gaming Experience with builds is very subjective in my opinion, so that's the reason why everybody can rate a build and the average rating score is displayed for the community. If your build is really good or exceptionally effective in its role, many players/testers will give you their positive feedback instantly. If the build looks strange or doesnt work very good but average, you either get some feedback or no feedback, since some players simply don't give bad ratings unless the build is really crap. You can count me to that group. Until today i haven't rated any of your builds, because i simply haven't tested them thoroughly. In this community you can't expect, that everyone will love your creations, but you can try and have to discuss criticism. Sometimes criticism can sound harsh, but most times the members of mechspecs.com give fair feedback, as far as i can say compared to other communities like from LoL, which i still regularly play. So stay cool and discuss your points of view! If you can pull good scores throughout all your testruns, simply post screenshots, make videos, prove the critics wrong! :)

I honsetly would love some of your feedback about this build. and I also love it when people prove me wrong. I do hope you have learned something thru all this, and (to say the least) No one here is perfect. Afterall, you have yet to speak to Michael or Soy. And for all their faults, I enjoy their discussions dearly. So GL, and I hope you return.
