i like the weaponloadout! Really. I tried to replace the XL Engine for a STD Version, because the Thunderbolt is famous for excellent survivability just like the Cents!
Gave this build a test-run. Seems to work very similar to his big-brother "Lopsided" Battlemaster build that I have been enjoying a lot. I do like Blagg's STD variant a bit more, but then it is slower than my good 'ol Loppy. I do really like having jumpjets for this load out. Makes it play a lot like the Jester.
I've been running something very similar to Blagg's version with a STD 280 engine, though I downgraded the ERLLas to standard LLas to help keep the heat down on hot maps, as well as trading one JJ for more armor.
To be honest, I hate using LLas as sniper weapons; having to hold that beam on target ruins your ability to roll damage and evade. So here is my old favorite, the "Stormwalker" variant;
Sorry, but a 45% cooling eff for the ERPPC's and an XL engine are a no go on this mech for me. Blagg's version is cooler, while only losing 3 damage.
Meh. Only 1 of the 3 torso hardpoints is okay for sniping, rest is just as low as the arm. Of course you have jumpjets but you're better off using the more accurate targeting of the arm in that case. Also, ghost heat, and XL is wasted on the excellent survivability of this mech. I once got as low as 8% before I died (I had no weapons left though) This is what I'm trying to get to work: Of course you can always swap the ERLL for LL but ERLL are far superior between 450 and 675 m and it's already pretty heat efficient anyway. The downside is that this mech has less firepower than some of the mediums I run, but then again this is much more survivable. The arm just like the torso hardpoints is still quite low for sniping though, so I'm considering a more close-range build: https://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=116&l=4664aad6966d676d9d49a97c8dd1522cf35d92e2
