MechSpecs may be a community, but I totally agree...

if PGI does not cater to the players, even MechSpecs will die off when no one is interested in the game anymore.

Michael can't fix the lack of attention PGI displays and make the game more enjoyable by being nicey nice to us.

Sadly, no I can not and even more sadly, yes you are right Tsume. Mech Specs would die out if people weren't interested in the game anymore. I've been putting together theories in my head based on watching the day to day traffic levels and I've come up with some interesting ideas that will play out over the next few months I am sure. Still, if MWO died tomorrow I could always repurpose MechSpecs.com and title it "Mechanical Specs" for games like Star Citizen and the like.

PGI has chosen not to utilize Mech Specs as a vehicle which would allow them to work with a very important part of the community; the mech customization and game mechanic/dynamic nerd sub-culture that exists in MWO.

Garth, Russ, Bryan and even Paul could come here on a regular basis and learn a lot about what the REAL players of the game think and feel rather than the glossed over opinions of other fan based projects. I am not saying other fan sites aren't good at promoting the game but what I am saying is that Mech Specs has always been a pretty spartan/bare bones "what you see is what you get" community.

We don't fuck around and we don't kiss ass and we don't have blinders on; we know what is good with the game and we know what is not good with the game (even if our opinions vary). That is a foundation you can continue to build a game on. "Smoke and mirrors, sand and water, does not a good foundation make"

I, and my group, are in on Star Citizen. I'm lucky if I get a night of drops in a week anymore on MWO. While the game is kind of fun, it isn't anymore fun than seeing people in the flesh and playing games with them. It's just the same old stuff. Heck even the new mechs aren't really all that new looking.

I'm just curious what PGI or Mechspecs can do to improve the community interaction, and seeing as Mechspecs has NONE with PGI, perhaps we should do a community night to talk with and play the game with Garth or another with PGI.
