    Seriously, I wish people would stop saying this kind of thing; there are a million combos that can be done with any mech at any time, so of course some of them are going to look similar every now and then. :mellow:

    I prefer this on the 5M with both ppcs in the same arm, it's easier to stay concealed while fighting and you can use the left arm as a bit of a shield or something to get some extra tonnage from (and it looks more awesome to fire 2 PPCs from 1 arm). That said, the build is really nice, and the single UAC5 is a lot of fun as well. 1 ton for double burst is really great.

    Why would you make the Shadowhawk run that slow? You can do an equivalent build from the phract and have more armor and heat sinks and run the same speed?

    Well, for one, it seems like a reasonably powerful build for a SHD but a fairly weak build for a CTF.

    And you never know, we may have tonnage limits one day...

    I took all that into consideration, but there's another, much bigger reason;

    Ever since IGP forced PG to fuck up the mechanics in order to "appeal to a larger audience", the number of possible builds that are fun to play and actually effective can be counted on both hands.

    Keep in mind, that's for ALL MECHS IN THE GAME.

    What this means in practice, among other things, is that grinding mechs in order to tier up is incredibly boring, since almost all mechs have a model that can't use a build that fits the criteria of "fun and effective".

    So, I keep trying to make effective alt builds in the hopes of breaking the stagnation.
