I was looking for a decent PPC build. ER-PPC just run too hot these days. PPC is there for decent ranged attack, their high position on the 'mech mean you can peak and snipe effectively. For tight engagements, the XL300 supplies decent speed/maneuverability while the twin medium pulse lasers and machine guns do just enough DPS to finish off targets already wounded by the PPC fire. Skipped on ES to save space for as many DHS as could possibly be packed into the frame. 68% cooling efficiency with just the PPCs and runs cool with the MPL + MG going. Really wish K2 has more than a single module slot as I'm using Adv. Zoom and would love to able to slot seismic and Adv. Sensor Range as well.
I agree on the Module-Slot, the 2nd slot from mastering it realy helps. I run Advanced Zoom, too + Seismic and thats really ok for me. I tried Adv. Sensor-Range, but i didn´t find it that much helpful in combination with the Zoom.
The effectiveness of Zoom + Seismic is under-rated. Having the awareness the seismic sensor gives you while zoom'd up is priceless. I used the sensor range to detect potential targets sooner. Also, if I can see their armor levels I can pick better targets.
