looks simple, but should be very powerful if used properly. I don't have a STD310 right now (and maybe won't buy one), so I will try this setup with a STD300 and more Ammo. but i somehow would like to try this as well: I would say, at least 4 of 5 stars, but i will tell after i have tested it.
Yeah, I faced a lance of these plus a single 3D configured similarly yesterday and they did a lot of damage. It's the newest meta without a doubt.
What about similar mech: It's faster, almost same amount of armor, and can pick up targets from distance efficiently (it can eat 110 armor in 10s), even before the AC 20 can be utilised. The cons are: - lack of ams - no jumpjets. - XL engine (in some cases). But about HGN-733c overpower I'll say this build can catch him off guard.
Guys, the first build is about pinpoint accurate ballistic damage. IE, jump, fire on the way down, hit 40 pts in ONE single location with one single blast and land in cover. Then doing that again. And again. The original build has 46% of heat efficiency and doesn't trigger heat penalties from too many PPC's. That's the efficiency of it. Adding more weapon to the loadout dilutes the power of the build. It doesn't need more damage really. It's a holepuncher and it does that well.
This maybe? Pros: -longer ballistic range -better projectile speed similarity -2 less heat on alpha -carnage of dual UAC5s if you get caught out of position -Enough ammo for 45 alphas (If none of them jam) Cons: -4% less movement speed -2 less heatsinks -slight projectile divergence due to the delay between the first and second shot of the UAC5 -chance one or more of the UAC5 shots won't fire, leaving you with a 35 or 30 damage burst Personally, I just like the better range and more bursts on hand. Still, it won't be as reliable as the OP's build at 270 meters.
Still beasty as hell. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=72&l=b1a3f851f2437762d1e3d8bf5b953e873a3b103d
