If you like Laser Firepower more than Autocannons then go for this build. High Speed, Super Cooling & No Heat Penalty! (You can take the XL400 from the Boar's Head) Weapon Grouping: 1. LLas (Combined) 2. MLas (Combined) 3. SRM4 (Closerange Backup) 4. MGs (Critseeker) 5. Alphastrike (Finisher) Alternate "noMG" Version: Alternate "XL" Version: Blagg
I have a bit other build: SRM goes to trash can, we have simply 2 LL and 5 ML with 45% heating 3400 dmg\hour. Absolutely love this build, it's just unstoppable! Like my lovely Firebrand on steroids!
Awesome build Blagg! I ended up dropping the engine to an XL 385 (what I had) and switching the SRM for AC5 to fit my play style, and I think I've finally settled on my standard 1G build (39% heat). Thanks! 5 stars.
Awesome build! I personally use another variation, PPC instead of missiles and max armor for brawling. Asymmetric loadout means that you can step the corners with your right or left side, while not fully exposing your CT - you'll have either PPC or 2 LLAS for toasting rival team. Also i've traded one medium laser for additional heat sink, cause on hot maps BLR-1G needs every bit of available refrigeration. MGs make short work of blowing away exposed structures of these pesky Locusts and Spiders. Plays more like medium-weighted mech, because enormous engine allows to flank heavies/assaults easily (and core them from behind >.
Yet another variation of this awesome build. Machineguns are very useful when you are in close combat ant overheated. BAP is optional. BLR-1G
i like the huge amount of Heatsinks in your variation dude! With so many Lasers the Missile.Bay is (almost) redundant. MGs can be fired even though you are on high Heatlevels, while SRMs not. Makes sense, i would drop BAP and the second ton of MG.Ammo (you ever went through 4000 Bullets? I never did, even not with more MGs) and up the Armor. Now this looks very cool! You should start a new thread as well!
Blagg, there's something disgusting about going from an XL400 to a STD340 with only the loss of a heatsink. And go figure that I've been struggling pretty hard with this chassis, trying to find what I like about it, and I haven't tried a Blagg build yet. ... any other suggestions, if this one doesn't work?
In both versions you could downgrade the SRM6 to a 4-size launcher, loose a ton of SRM ammo and add in 2 MGs. Same cooling, but highly improved DPS.
Not only does it do relatively great sustained damage (provided you don't mash your alpha key!) it is AMAZING and finishing off things. Should've called it the Burrower - loves to core things!
I've been enjoying this variation. 3 LL provide more firepower past ML range, and the LL on the arm is nice for shooting fast moving targets. (If you prefer peeking over hills, put the third LL in a torso.) Obviously fire the LL in such a way as to avoid ghost heat. I have the following weapon groups. 1) 2 Torso LL's 2) 2 Torso LL's + 4 ML 3) 1 Arm LL
