An Jenner and an Atlas walk into a bar.

The Jenner says "ouch" and stops, and the Atlas says "what the hell was that?" and keeps going.

I was in a match earlier this week that gave me a horrible Critical Hits comic strip flashback. Was part of a group of 3 spiders and a Dragon 1C.

The last kill came down to us dropping a stalker with a spider standing on it's head shooting it while 2 others ran around it's feet and the dragon just gauss'd it apart.

Couldn't help but chuckle.

Annoying indeed.

 

Leave it to Pepper to thread the needle with that gauss rifle.

 

At the end of the match, when we win, a lot of people in TS like to say "awesome!" I'll say "No, that was an Atlas" (or whatever the last mech we destroyed is).

Got into a match yesterday, noticed three Heavy Metals on our team. Two of us at the same time said (regarding the chassis name Highlander) "so much for 'there can only be one.'"

 

Oh I wish you hadn't posted this. It brings back great memories. And the sequels as well...

 

Yeah that "There can only be one" stuff is pretty rampant in any match with a Highlander. The joke was cute for the first 30 seconds after the mech was released. Now? Old hat!

Every time I hear it I want to scream "I am Kurgan" and punch someone in the face!

 

Have you ever loaded out a Clan Omnimech with InnerSphere weaponry? Now that's funny.

 

Sad thing is I've never seen Highlander. But apparently #2 holds a 0% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yes, #2 was pretty horrid. #3 stank just a little bit less. #4 was not bad as it blended the TV series and the Movie franchise. #5 should not exist; at all.

 

I was about 10 minutes into watching Highlander. Then someone turned it off, took the tape, and left with the damn tape.

That was close to a decade ago now, but I'm still too irritated by that to watch it. :angry:

I tried to come up with the worst build that uses every ton on an Atlas.

 

Your mech is so fat it has to equip drop ships for jump jets.

 

Yo mech is so fat machine guns cant crit even when the armor is stripped.
Yo mech is so fat taking Endo-Steel would let you equip a Gauss.
Yo mech is so fat going cave is not a viable strat.
Yo mech is so fat the XL engine fits center torso.
Yo mech is so fat, it's the reason the dropship fell on Frozen City.
