After realizing how superior the AC/2 is, I thought I'd fit a couple on my K2 and see what happens.
Turns out my average match damage and kills have gone way up, instantly.

Its nothing "fancy" but it has decent heat management, and is a superb long-range fighter. I can hold my own now in ultra long range slug fests with assault mechs. I matched the ERLL with the AC/2 as their effective range is quite similar. Being able to project nearly 12dps that distance is quite amazing. I also upgraded my engine in this build, so I'm having a good time with a speedy K2. Overheating is rarely a problem although I've had to hold off firing the ERLL in extended fights. I've only run out of ammo once, so it seems to be about the right amount of shells as well. Also, no worries about getting the weapons blown off due to lost arms, and side torso is death anyway, so its full damage during the entire game. Advanced Zoom is highly recommended.

How can you call a CAT "Wolf"?? This seems to be blasphemy. We already will get the Wolverine..

About your build: it's not bad. I would place the ERLLas in the arms to have them at higher Position. Downgrade to XL280 and you can up the Arms Armor:

Haha, I was truly thinking about how my playstyle tends to be a lot more aggressive with this build, rather than the contradiction between cat and dog. ^_^

For now, I'm using the XL300 mostly because its swappable with my other mechs. But you have a point about putting a smaller one in to buff the armor. Making them able to aim better would help too but I'm not too crazy about getting my arms blasted off and losing weapons.
