Blagg, have you been getting better results out of the LBX and SRM6 combo, rather than a straight up AC/20? Or have you compared them at all?
Great build as usual Blagg. I gotta try this, at the moment I am using 1 ac20, 2 LL, and 4 Med L. Its working out so far, but I'll have to try this build over the weekend. Props. 5 Stars.
Its hard to tell, if LBX+SRM6 Combo is better or AC20. The one is for Spread+Crit Damage (10+12), the other for Pinpoint (20). The LBX has more Range and can scare away Lights better. The SRM6 has a great DPS combined with the LBX. I like both and have good results with both options. If the enemy has weakened Body parts you have a better chance to crit with the Shotgun.Combo. Besides if you lose one Sidetorso, you still have the other Weapon to fight with. For this Variant i like this combo more than a Single AC20 on one Sidetorso. If i go for the AC20, then definitely with the SRM6 on the other Side together.
Picked up a Boar's Head due to the sale this weekend. Those 6 energy hardpoints are hard to utilize while maintaining decent heat efficiency and range. I tried a few different builds but this one is being my favorite so far. Take shots at mid-range with the LB and LL to open up armor then alpha when they're in range. Chainfire ML and keep on hammering away with the LB and SRMs to manage heat then alpha to finish them off. Can't tell you how many other atlases had to take giant robot nappy time because they over heated vs this build. 5 stars!
