What is your personal best TIP to make MWO a much better Experience!?

    Hi Guys

    My first post. I like a lot of the ideas already submitted. Here's some of mine:

    Have other options to Assault and Conquest.

    Something like a Defend option where one side must protect a location(structure) from destruction to win. The structure would have a number of health points.

    For the larger maps you could add additional drop points and randomise them to shake things up a bit. Puts the emphasis on recon again.

    How about a Kill the General style where each side nominates a general and then must protect theirs and destroy the oppositions.

    A jungle map would be nice. Limiting long range and missiles and being heavy on close, brawler combat.

    Being able to select or deselect certain map types from your launch would enable you to better equip your mech for certain ranges.

    Hey, I put in the effort to read your announcements too! (mostofthetime)

    But no, sorry. I literally spent a full day on this to flesh it out and refine it.

    No problem Michael, I was mostly teasing :)

    I am pretty proud of that post, it received decent replies (sadly none from PGI) but alas.

    If you find the time I think you will find it a good read in tota, otherwise... meh, it had sadly no impact.

    1) Add a surrender risk/reward mechanic. Like an extraction zone if there's only a few players left.
    2) Add some sort of asymmetrical game mode
    3) Streamline map creation, or allow a way for us to opt-in to 'test' unfinished, untextured maps.
    4) Tweak the 'mechs that are underused. The engine expansion for the Hunchbacks was a good start, but needs to go further. The Awesome needs a long, hard look.

    I almost forgot my biggest pet-peeve.

    Integrated VOIP in pugs!

    Third party is fine for groups, but, the level of gameplay that would be added by allowing PUGs to coordinate would vastly improve the game, IMO. There will always be the solo Thugs that won't work with a team, however, even having the ability to call locations would help this become a more team-oriented game. Moreover, my hope would be to develop/encourage a more strategy focused pick-up group worldview as well.

    Just my 2c.

    I do not know if anyone has suggested it or whether it is a good or bad idea, but I would like to see mech chassy size for your team revealed in your quick map. Why? Because placement for a mech is critical.

    I can not count the number of times I, in haste, looked at a map and saw 2 or 3 teamates at a location, not knowing they were lights because I did not gauges their velocity, adjusted my position and then they scoot out of there leaving me to be eaten. Not their fault ... I wouldn't have moved there if I knew they were lights however.

    Attack/Defend game modes would be amazing in MWO. They are my favorite game modes to play in other FPS games.

    Not specific model information, but just chassy size ... one simple and easy implemention to relay that info to your teammates would be to change triangle size with chassy size.
