Mythweaver here, I have been away for awhile... I suffered a medical setback in May, virus related Congestive Heart Failure, which lead to a Quadruple Bypass...Ouch! :whacko: Anyway, all is well now, I'm returning to work and MWO. I've missed reading what everyone has to say, right or wrong, and I'm looking forward to catching up. See you on the Battlefield. Mythweaver
Wow scary stuff, glad to hear your ok, and back on the battlefield. I look forward to killing you sometime ( in game of course )
Did you go with an endo steel chassis or ugrade to double heatsinks when they had you in there for repair and refit? All kidding aside iit's good to hear you are ok.
Welcome back Myth, sorry to hear about the medical related issues. That is certainly problematic. Abscess? You will find a great deal has changed in the last few months of MWO. A lot of boosts and quite a few major nerfs. Some new mechs, new maps and fun things like that.
I went with the Endo Steel; dropped 30 tones and became a leaner, meaner machine. I have dropped a few times today and have to say that I think 12 man matches are awesome. I don't know if they fixed the match issues or if my ELO is just super shitty; every match was challenging and evenly matched...? Michael, as far as the damage is concerned, my understanding is that a viral inflamation caused enough damage to five of my arteries and therefore the bypass was required. I didn't have any indication that anything was wrong; thought I was having an asthma attack or something like that. Anyway, I will be around for at least another 40 years if I stay focused on the important things. For example: I need to walk for an hour for every hour spent sitting in a 'Mech cockpit! Thanks for the support and the welcome, Myth
Standing desks and even a treadmil in front of the computer are supposed to be incredibly healthy ways to continue use. I work as an IT support tech in Cardiology at our local hospital. These are things the cardiologists have told me, so I'm sure they are probably right. Either way, it's good to hear you're doing better. See you on the battlefield!
I would love to have you out for the Friday Night Mechspecs Games Just show up around Friday evening, and we'll try to do some 4 mans, perhaps some 12 mans!
Thanks for the ego boost concerning my builds...I'll have to start building up cash...I think my next 'mech will be the Kintaro. My old builds may not stand up to the test anymore, I'll have to see how much things have changed. Myth.
Most of our super-tweak builds don't work anymore, many of your builds and builds you inspired have stood the test of time.
Welcome back, and, good health, Myth! Take care of yourself, get those walks in. 40 years is good incentive. Sounds like you're on a good road to recovery and healthy living. Good to hear! Chatt.
Just bought the Kintaro KTO-18, outfitted it with a 360XL, 5x SSRM2's and 2x Med.PLasers. I love it! I found a post in the forums that uses a LLaser to pull enemy 'Mechs closer. When I get home in the morning I'm going to try it out and then Post my version...gotta get back into the swing of things. Myth. Post Script: Thanks again for the support and welcome.
Damn you are good... instantly seeing how I use that LLas on my build... and the fast track TAG also.
The L.Laser is an absolute asset on this build, I haven't had a chance to Post my version yet, but it is coming on Monday. I am unable to post any builds from work. I had a six kill match my first run out with it (alotta kill stealing!) and the L.Laser was responsible for at least half of them. Myth
