Yes it is kinda low on Ammo, but the AC 20(14 shots) and SRM 4's(25 shots) are only meant for secure hits in melee distances not max range button mashing/press & hope.
The build does work, but you need to watch your heat. This was match no. 3 with the machine, I hope heatcontainment and coolrun will give me some more room to work with...
How about hotter Maps? I like the Firepower and believe that you can kill (steal) a lot with it. But i can say from my xperience with Heatsink.numbers that you need to wait a lot till you can use full Firepower again if Heat level is high already. Can be very fatal in a 1v1 Fight. For such a heavy/hot Weaponloadout i recommend at least 13 DHS.
You are right, two more heatsinks would be better to continuously fire for a longer period of time. I am unsure if i should change the SRM 4 into heatsinks and AC 20 ammo though, in the end I tend to not use them in favor of another AC 20 shot.... I'll be back on Saturday and play more games with it, I'll see how the development of this build turns out.
After some more games, this what it comes down to. Until I can find a solution für the heat problem with the SRMs... Update: was experimenting and discussing the protector and my build with a clanmate. We came up with a potent and deadly adaption of the build:
I've only been playing with the ON1-P since it was released. This is the load out I most enjoy, even though heat management is a struggle at the best of times. With that Alpha it can be a good kill stealer, but 1v1 is a bit of a hard task.
Sadly I realised that 2x uac5 present much more consistent damage compared to a ac20 or a gauss with srm's. The uac5 just feels superior to both at the moment. So I'll abandon this build for the moment.
