Aggressive Brawler for hard Close Range Punch. 15 DHS for decent Cooling. Alternate "Ammo&Cool+" Version Blagg
Those SRMs aren't gonna last long. -1 DHS, +1 SRM ammo? It's basically the CTF-2X Grimm Hunter on the Orion, so it should work really well.
Personally i prefer 15 DHs to unload everything upon the Enemy and then getting cooled down very quickly. I see the SRMs as additional Firepower, but most times i would fire AC20 + Triple MLas in one blow at 200-270m, again and again till the Armor is cracked up... and then add the SRMs at 120-200m, or for final Blows. So thats why i have only 1 ton of SRMs. Should be enough for most cases, unless you get unluckily caught in close range combats.
I really liked playing with this build. Left many a medium mech running into the shadows licking their wounds for trying to brawl with this monster!
I like this build and came up with something similar on my first night out with this mech. Mine lacked AMS however. Playing with your idea, I came up with this. I haven't run with it so maybe the loss of firepower will prove this idea wrong. I changed a few things. Firstly, with my brawl style, 21 AC20 rounds is enough. Either I'm dead or the AC is gone before I'd shoot out 4 tons of ammo. I took out the SRM4s for SSRM2 to track the nasty ankle-biters, plus using your idea of opening a mech up with the AC20 and MLs and using the SRMs to finish them off inspired the idea of putting on the MG for crit. seeking, plus I had an extra 1.5 tons and wondered what to do with it. I also bumped the armor a bit and moved more to the front. I don't often get back shot to death, I try to keep my enemies infront of me, or terrain and/or a lance mate to my rear. The extra points on the torso can mean one or two more AC20 shots before the torso drops out in a sustained brawl.
I really like that set-up Apnu. I think I will give this a try soon as I am going through a lot of ON1-P builds lately.
Thanks, my first brawling build netted me 761 pts of damage in the first match. It lacked the AMS, MGs and SSRMs however. Had SRM6s and less heat sinks. I'll put it up in a new thread.
