Looks like the new meta will have less emphasis on sniping and more on brawling, should be interesting.
Ehh...the PPC/ERPPC took a giant cast-iron nerfbat to the cajones. The Gauss got a modest buff to speed and hit points, the powerup does not bother me, it just gives me some time to steady my aim. I have held off buying hero mechs for a long while, but I most likely get the "Protector". HSR fixes are in, hope they work, it does not really matter though, I will still stare down all foes with my spider "Kneel before the mighty mechanic arachnid of DOOM!!...that has two arms and two legs...."
ORION here i come, was about time they released that mech imo. And the mech of A.Kerensky looks interesting like a fun one.
I really don't mind the changes to the weapons. But for all that's holy they have better have fixed the 'NARC' tube issue for SRMs in the Highlander torso's if they have removed the PPC and Gauss combo. I'd LOVE to be able to rock double SRM's instead of big energy weapons, but not if the second SRM fires like a missile machine gun.
Tutorial is a bit buggy, but it works, even if it is basic. Everything except the Ghost AC2 heat is fixed. HSR included.
It's not the tutorial that's buggy, it the map on training grounds. Why did they had to pick the buggy map, that is the question.
It's works. Well. Big buff in projectile velocity (1200 m/s up to 2000 m/s). If you're using it as a long range weapon (i.e. the way it's meant to be used) it works great. Just can't faceroll low-heat alpha strikes anymore. I'll take the speedier round and the charge mechanic over the slow 1200 m/s round, given the choice. I only just started using it again yesterday, and with a game or two I was completely comfortable with the charge time. In fact, it's kind of nice in some ways, because if you picked your shot at the wrong time, you can just hold the trigger until the charge dissipates and not waste the ammo. Give it a try. You might find you like it (dare I say, even more than you used to). I was skeptical about using it as well, but I'm enjoying the change. I think it's more fun to use now than before. Maybe I'll eat those words in another week or so, but for now I'm liking it.
