Lots of firepower in a relatively light mech. The price is paperthin armor, and limited ammo. Make good use of your JJ and the reverse gear, you will need it alot. the 2x SLas is there just in case your ammo runs out. 150 ammo is barely enough for what it is. But no worries, you armor is paperthin and there is quite a reasonable chance that you die before you run out. You will have to play smart, and fire at the back and sides of your target. A frontal shoot out almost always spells your death. When this works, this works GREAT. But when it does not, oh well. A bit quirky, really. Pros: SUPERB firepower for what it is. JJ, and quite agile. High weapon mount. Cons: The armor. Limited ammo. Mediocore speed, even though it is agile.
I like that one of the main selling points is, "Don't worry about the low amount of ammo, you'll be dead before you run dry." Heh. Having no armor plus a slower engine at a mech that engages at 600 meters makes me quite scared! It would work best as support or flanking where the mechs can't really focus on you, but then you live in fear of spiders sneezing in your general direction. I do love my UAC/5s, but I've just not been able to work one into a BJ, no less two!
fluctuates between 100ish to 400-500ish. When you get discovered early you just DIE. If not you get into a good posision and get to work til you run dry. Great with things like canyons, river city and forest colony. Works bad at things like desert.
Just for giggles I was messing around with this: First match did 425 out of a possible 500 potential damage from the 100 rounds of ammo.
On this weight class, AC/5>UAC/5. UAC's still have a niche place with the ability to double tap, however, on a mobile and quick mech like this, I'll take the weight and ammo per ton values to the bank with a STD AC/5.
Was using that with the macro. Now that the macro is semi-nerfed I am using the old AC5 version mostly. Then again I am leveling Orion K recently.
