$30 upgrade to any phoenix mech pack, you get 2 phoenix mechs and 4 standard mechs. These phoenix variants include; Griffin GRF1-N and the Wolverine WVR-6R. Standard variants have been announced. What do you guys think? is this worth the extra $30?
Is it worth it? It depends, do you want to have the unseen in your garage as well as support the game development? That is what it really comes down to you know?
The Griffon, one of my all time favorite mechs. Though the Wolverine looks like he has a much better configuration, very similar to a centurion. (still waiting for the Zeus)
The Griffin and the Wolverine are two of my favourite mechs (along with the Phoenix Hawk, why wasn't that part of Project Phoenix?). Not a huge fan of the paint-job on the Wolverine though, looks like he has a big fro.
I was immediately convinced by the overlord pack, this one... not so much. They're damn cool mechs and all but considering i also already have a founders package I don't feel like paying even more for the game, even though it may help development. Besides, they already have this huge phoenix sale going on, I wonder why they really need to release yet another 'we promise' pack..
The mechs are cool but as I said in other thread in news section I donnt thing I will be getting them. I will give a couple of dollars to help you guys Mech Specs get them but no thank you for me thank you.
Had I still had my overlord package I would have probably gotten it. The main issue it would have brought up is time. At that point we're talking eighteen mechs sitting in your mech bay all needing time. Add that to your already favorite mechs and you just don't have enough free time. I'll just wait until they come out and try them then. The only one I am truly interested in is the Battlemaster and maybe Thunderbolt.
I see another UAC5.Mech and a strange Mix of Thunderbolt/Cataphract(Appearance) & Trebuchet/Quickdraw (Hardpoints).. not really impressed but at least some jumpy 55tonners. Worth 30 $ ? Only if you have too much money to spend. But fair trick to gain alot money in advance before release. Seems like PGI really needs the money! Imagine how much money we are ready to pay for a buggy beta.game compared to old.school packaged games in the past. Its insane! But who has the money he/she may be a true Mechwarrior
Blagg, I think you nailed it. I'm not sure if PGI funds are running low, but this actually makes me very uncomfortable. Like they are milking the ones who want the real deal. And we still don't have it even.... Introducing the unseen is very cool, probably will have the marauder and warhammer in there somewhere in the future. P.S. Did someone say community warfare will only be available for premium accounts? Or am i hallucinating again?
They would look really pretty sitting in my garage ... Cool designs, but I would rather spend the money on some Clan tech. Want my Timberwolf.... oh yes, and a Marauder IIC would be nice.... maybe a ShadowCat for good measure.
"Milking the idea for all we can PGI ?" is what I thought when I saw this first. After checking on the mechs I decided that it's probably not worth it anyway. I'm more into heavy mechs, 2 more medium hero meches don't float my boat (since all but the heroes will be available for c-bills).
here is the problem I have. I just got laid off, and I'm not sure I can justify spending $30 more dollars on this game. or any game for that matter.
I cant decide weather to buy it or not...such a hard choice! Well not really....yea ill probly buy it because thats 18 mechs and 18 mechbays all togeather with my overlord.
