I'm running same RAM and same CPU as you but you have the better GPU and I still push close to 60 FPS at 50-60
Funny is that in terms of CPU resources MWO actually uses more of it on that current idiotic matchmaking phase and not when the game is running. Somehow I think the one doing the code for matchmaking part deserve to eat expired AC20 ammo for the rest of his existance.
Nice, I'd buy one, but I am still pulling great framerates with my 560ti, and I just updated my PC with a six core AMD ram, MB etc.
Not bad not bad. I am waiting for the next generation to come out or end of January / February to upgrade as I will be doing so for Star Citizen. MWO can already run at 60 fps on my 560 Ti no point in upgrading for it.
Tonight i'm finally gonna order my long awaited hardware upgrade. I still have to decide between the 280X and the GTX760. Hmmmmmph
Well I went from my EVGA 560 Ti 440 core to this: http://products.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gtx-780-ti-3gb-384bit-superclocked-dvi-i-d-hdmi-dp-sli-ready-graphics-card-w-acx-cooler-e2-92169.htm Kapowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! This thing smokes MWO and Star Citizen (at least right now)
hmmmph, the GTX760 looks very good to me.... but it's also 50 Bucks more than the R9 270X with the difference of maybe 10% performance?
Ok, i made a decision. I'm going for the R9 270X!!! Prices: R9 270X ~ $230 GTX 760 ~ $280 FPS Difference with Crysis 3 (Testsystem = Core i7 4x3,6GHz, 8GB, MB X79): 64 vs 67 @1920x1080, 0xAA/16xAF 45 vs 46 @1920x1080, 4xAA/16xAF 30 vs 29 @2560x1440, 4xAA/16xAF MWO should run with much more FPS, since it's not so ressource-demanding like Crysis 3 (so much lower Details/SFX)
Congrats on the new Hardware ...but you might not want to put everything on VERY HIGH settings... Reduce Sun Glare...
I ordered this card, looks nasty: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/R9_270X_PCS_Plus/1.html Next Week i buy some new Rams and a new CPU..
Hello there, I am looking for a gaming notebook for MWO, for about 750-1000€. Right now I am wondering if I better go with i5/i7, as I have heared for gaming fast i5 processors can be better than slower i7 processors of compareable price? And quadcore or dualcore, as MWO is reported to have issues with dual cores? Also when it comes to graphic cards in this price segment it seems GTX 800series are only available with small cards like GTX850M and it would be better to take a GTX 700series card of higher ranking like the GTX765M? So I did enter that stuff to search the German market and got this: http://geizhals.at/de/?cat=nb&bpmax=750-1100&v=e&bl1_id=30&sort=p&xf=2379_17~905_1~28_2000~12_8192~3310_2013~883_GeForce+GTX#xf_top Can anyone answer my questions or give further recommendations according notebooks in that pricing segment? Thanx, Ryo
Not strictly. This comes from the huge headroom i5's have when it comes down to Overclocking, delivering better bang for buck. Since you'll have next to no headroom on a mobile platform, this won't the case. Does it have to be a notebook? For a lot less you can build a desktop with far better spec's, on the provision you don't have to shell out for a display etc. - Just my $0.02
For reference Blagg, I just upgraded from Crossfire (dual) 6950s to a single 760 (all three cards are Gigabyte). Very consistent ~60 fps in MWO with everything max'd (although not needed). Titanfall saw HUGE improvements (the reason I decided to upgrade). Can run everything on max with "Very High" texture resolution (2nd to max). Great upgrade for the money, would recommend the card to anyone. Edit: didn't realize there was a second page lol
Hey guys. Im looking into putting a machine together as well, though it would only be pretty basic, I dont have alot of cash to spare. I'm looking at something along the lines of a 750 ti for the gpu, or maybe a similarly priced radeon offering. My question is how much of an impact is the cpu performance going to have at that kind of price point? Is it worth shooting for an older generation CPU to try and get my hands on an intel i-series rather than, say a chip from AMD?
Dude, my 560 Ti could run everything in MWO on very high without even breaking a sweat. If you are looking to build for todays gen games then sure a 700 series card is the way to go but MWO is a generation or two behind in graphics quality and 560s can run it easily, 600 series cards can smoke it, 700 is overkill.
Thanks Michael, that's a piece of good news for sure. The main draw for me was that the 750ti was basically the cheapest card I can find over here (Australia). For example, going into the typical computer retailer over here something like a 6540 (I think that was the model. One of the low 6xxx gen radeon cards) costs the best part of 350, while the ti barely breaks 200. My biggest question still remains though- would it be worth trying to get my hands on an older generation of intel core CPU's rather than going for one of AMD's more recent offerings? I'd read somewhere that MWO is a lot more CPU-intensive than similar games, and that the intels tend to do better in terms of raw computing performance. The trouble for me is finding one I can afford
It could be cryengine benchmarks may be found and could be roughly translateable, I will look for CPU benches. But honestly, I think you can do this with just about any CPU. The AMD vs Intel is probably based on virtual core behaviour, Intel Hyperthreading is generally good but can't say I've noticed much extra load (I run a 3930k hexacore, usually compressing video capture from MWO aswell as many other software tasks).
