This is very close to the build I run on my K2 when I'm not running Mythweaver's K2 build. If going full auto on the UAC's (and them not jamming right off the bat) does not put a smile on your face you are just playing the wrong game.

I play this one with an XL300, 1 less DHS and a bit less armor, but what a powerful setup. Alpha can seem low, but, with the buff from yesterday (only 15% chance of jamming instead of 25%), you can just tear apart opposite mech. I just kill an almost full armor ATLAS in river city just by pressing the trigger (and a bit of luck, he missed it AC20 and SRM and I did not jam ).

My build :

 

I did over 1000 damage with this build, it is a fierce setup! Although I think I used 2 LL and 2 MLs on mine but if you're worried about jamming, switch them over to chain fire. you'll still get good DPS and the lasers are great support weapons.

 

Blagg, this is one heck of a mech. The K2 was always good for hit and runs with the torsotwist ability and the speed it can put on with a XL. Putting in two UAC'S and four MLAS is murder.

It can go toe to toe with anything in it's class or below, don't go alone on a fresh Assault in a headon chicken race though. It will excel in fast attacks and moving strafes.

Just ran the 300xl variant of this build and scored my first 1k damage match in the first drop

Screenshoting is currently broken on my pc, probably because I run dual screens. The screen without the game turns up fine but the one with the game is all black :/

 

Just outfitted my K2 to the original post but with an XL270, 3 x ML's and 1 x MPL (because im low on funds and already had all that gear). First game out got two kills and over 500 points of damage. Excellent config Blag, i love it.

 

This build is definitely my favorite. As long as you stay aware of your surroundings and never sit in one place for too long, you can get a lot of damage in.

It seems very easy to average between 300-400 per match, while a lot of games will go 800+ regularly if your team ends up working well together and you play it smart.

I always try to keep an optimal distance and strafe. Very good with the speed boost too. You can get unlucky streaks of UAC/5 jamming so it's good to make sure you always have an out and/or have cover ready. But more often than not you get these streaks of no jamming for 10+ shots and the pain is brought! Just make sure you never sit still for too long. I'm only able to break 1k when I'm able to survive a long time and pelt various targets consistently here and there throughout a match.

 

I runa very similair build, but with dual erllas and only 3t of uac ammo. But I've got an xl315 so I guess it's worth the tradeoff.

really enjoying the 300xl build here. the speed to get in and out and still plenty of ammo to finish the map with 800+ dmg

What do you guys feel is the best two weapon modules to use with this setup?

 

Cooldown modules, this is a DPS mech so increasing the burst is a good idea since it has good heat efficiency already.
