It's nice that people hope PPC Atlas's are fantastic. I really don't think they work that well. You do have ECM, which is great as always. But I still don't like the idea of sniping with an Atlas. so, 3-5 stars.
Thats why you have triple SRMs for aggressive Brawls.. IMO the viability of Gauss+PPCs is equal to AC20+LLas builds. It just affords a different playstyle. The only thing what an Atlas doesnt have to make it a perfect sniper is the lack of JJs. Blagg
Problem is replacing your ERPPC's with PPC's to run cooler means you dont pack a huge punch up close as PPC's have a min range, so your best range with SRM's is 100-200m where your PPC's are limited.
You are right with the min Range of PPCs, so Alphastrike below 90m is limited. Usually you deal enough Punch with the Triple SRM6s so Alpha should only be fired if you are forced to finish off someone fast before he can kill you first. In other situations its better to avoid Overheat. This build is more a Sniperbuild, not the best role for Atlas but still viable if you fight on open fields without much Cover.
