This Mech is a beast, only the most trigger happy pilot will push the heat. It also can deal out damage at any range. You carry enough gauss rounds to be very aggressive at range, and if you are more of a brawler drop the ton of Gauss in the head for extra srm. I have had GREAT results in this build, it is a monster at 250m!

I'd use 3 ton's of SRM and 4 tons of gauss, and find a way to put AMS on there, but this is a solid brawler build, so 4-5 stars.

You can slot AMS in if you drop Artemis IV pack. Built this around the idea of having some kind ecm support, Or using Terrain and the speed of the mech to evade the lrms. It is really a matter of play style as far as that goes. I played with both and found going with Artemis was better for me, however it is still very effective with AMS installed instead. :D

All in all pretty good build man. Even 96% crit padded. Just move the SRM ammo to the head and the gauss to the leg and that'll get you the 100%. SRM ammo in the head wont matter, you lose your head you die anyways. This also has 1 less crit slot for your legs. NTM, the head SRM will drain before the ammo in your leg will. Ammo is used from top down.

I do agree with vergere on the 3 tons of SRMs though. very RARE that my dragon slayer (also has 50 shots of gauss) ever even gets close to empty. hell its rare that i go below 20 shots left. But my design is built around having everything min/maxed for the 12v12 once it comes out and once it does you're gonna want to get rid of that artemis for AMS. If you think you can dodge LRMs now, just wait till you have 6-8 people with LRMs firing at you instead of 2-4. Tell me you dont need AMS then. the 50 gauss should be enough even in 12v12.

4/5 because its a killer build, but still has room to grow.

Took your guys input and did a "rebuild". Dropped the Artemis grabbed AMS. Dropped one ton of gauss for an extra ton of SRM. This freed up .5 armor to top up the arms and help the legs a touch. Also dropped an ER LL in there for a little extra long range punch. It maintains heat dissipation only getting .07 reduction and with upcoming patch for heat reduction on ER LL should be right in the sweet spot.

Much better across the board. Amazing how a couple little things can change a mech so much.
The remake gets a 5/5 from me.

I use this guy on my Slayer but I drop a couple heat sinks and the AMS for an XL350. I support the dropping of Artemis on this build as the Victor's missile ports are pretty well grouped together and the SRMs are more for a "get out of my face" role rather than a midrange sniping one.

Full marks for the revised version. I'd recommend altering the title and the first post to reflect the changes.
