Nothing too special. BAP to go with my Sensor Range Mod. Lots of firepower. Varied range of weapons. Near full armor. Brawls like a champ! Best feel to a brawler I've run. Still has some speed to get around in a fight, but, throws out Death like Hell's Bouncer. Soloed a Victor and a Centurion earlier at the same time. The Victor was just out of his element - poor aiming, stood still - but the Cent was a great shot, took me down to a pink CT before I took him down. Point being, I'm liking the 'Fracts. Only one more to basic cap so I can get my damn speed tweak! Chatt.
Last ten matches stats in the Centipede; 7 wins - 3 Losses Total Damage: 4969 Avg Damage: 497 16 kills - 5 deaths = K/D Ratio: 3.2 21 Assists Solid build even without basic unlocked. Started this 10 round track with only Anchor Turn unlocked. Chatt.
Nope. Those ten matches I tracked started with only Anchor Turn unlocked and by the end, I still had two left to unlock for basic alone. No speed tweak. No fast fire. No convergence. Worst of all, no double efficiencies for my basics. Hell! Didn't even have most of the basics and this baby runs hot and slow. I need those! lol Goes to show how effective this combination of weaponry is in the hands of a semi-decent pilot. Imagine what someone who's GOOD could do! Chatt.
Thank you very much for your build, you forced me to register. Not only that, but I think you've got me enjoying my 2X more than my Ilya! I've tweaked the build a little. I like having AMS on my slower mechs and I find the slight decrease in speed is more than made up for by the extra range and punch of the Gauss Rifle. CTF-2X The extra boost to the alpha is nice too. Was in a game the other day vs. 3+ LRM boating Catapults. Managed to sneak up behind one of them and deliver a point blank alpha to his rear CT. It only took one.
First off, welcome to MechSpecs, Red! Glad to have ya! Second, KILLER tweaks! I love it! Really makes me wish I had an XL280 lying around the warehouse! Not only is the Gauss one of my favorite weapons, you snuck in AMS and have better heat efficiency. For 5kph? Great build. Superior to my OP! Good on ya, sir! Chatt.
The asymetical LLas still throws me off, but I really like this build. I especially like the modifications by Red M3nace. Now, how do you guys group your weapons?
Group 1: 2xLLas (Mouse Button 1) Group 2: AC/10 (Mouse Button 2) Group 3: SRM4 (Side/Thumb Mouse Button 3) Group 4: MLas (Side/Thumb Mouse Button 4) Group 5: Alpha (Scroll Wheel) I know what you mean about the LLas. Kinda looks cross-eyed when she fires. But, after almost all my builds being symmetrical, I kinda like the Ugly Thumper this mech turns into. Somehow reminds me of an A-10 Warthog.
Modified the build so both LL are in the shoulders. The arm movement on the LL was situational and didn't help too much. However, higher shoulder mounts meet peek and speak firing.
Running with XL320 now... The speed is definitely worth the ton of SRM ammo. I use the LL as main weapons, so, 100 rounds gets me through most rounds.
