Get ready to unjam your UACs! Weapon Groups: 1. MLas (grouped) 2. UACs (grouped) 3. SRMs (grouped) testrun: (that KTO-18 almost stole my show! ) Blagg
I met a version of this build in my jenner, and holy hell was i scared. I don't know the specifics, but I tried to recreate it. 2x UAC5, 2xMPLS, 3x SRM4 turned it into me being lucky to escape after taking like 3 hits in 2 seconds. Though the 3rd missile has only 2 tube launchers, I think an SRM2 is a bit better for ammo preservation. Here's another with a little better heat management, more UAC5 ammo and dropping down to an SRM2 like you did.
Build looks great, here is this build with a slightly smaller engine and full JJ that i'm gonna try out.
I managed to run dry with 7 tons of UAC5 ammo with my version and therefore took out that SRM2 in favor of another ton of ammunition. The reason for running dry probably is that I see the UACs as the mech's main weapon and am spamming it as much as possible. ALSO: What's wrong with the 9S's missile tubes? I used SRM6 + SRM4 before switching to 2x SRM4. The first combination should be totally viable considering the S should have one of each 10-, 5- and 2-tube launcher. But nevertheless my 6 + 4 volley was fired in two salvos.
This is a known victor issue. try rearranging the order in which you put your missiles in. Put the SRM 6 in first, then the SRM 4 and you should be fine. You can fire a full 12 in 1 volley if you put them in the order of SRM 6/4/2 as well.
Forgot to vote when posting my alternate version, which differs only slightly from yours. This is a very powerful setup for the 9S and remains my favorite version for this variant. I'd try to put in another ton of UAC ammo, as these are both the mech's main weapons and it's only way of fighting enemies beyond 300m. Removing that SRM2 would be my choice when looking at your version. This would up your cooling efficiency as well as allowing an additional ton of UAC ammo.
