I'm running similar to this but dropped some leg armour for extra Gauss Ammo. Very fun.

2 T of ammo for gauss is quite cheap. Less armor in leg and it will be fine.

 

case to the gauss is a good idea.

 

Gauss ammo doesn't explode:/

 

X198, true but the Rifle can explode for 20 dmg and is considered as "ammo explosion". Hence, case on the Gauss Rifle can be a good idea. The bullets are good, inert crit pads.
