During the course of putting the Benefactors Exclusive video together for the Cataphract chassis I started to play around with this build based on some ideas I saw on other ones. This one runs a little hotter than a newer player might like but it really is a beast on the battlefield and guess what? No ECM problems with the SRMs!!

I guess you derived this one of TruePointDexter's and my build by removing the SSRMs and adding the standard SRMs? This is exactly the other way around how I developed my version. I used to play double SRM4s in the left arm for a massive 4x2 shotgun effect out of that hand, but somehow started to love SSRMs sometimes.

This is definitely a very strong build. Highly recommended!

I really like this build. It's certainly brutal in a brawl. I just built it a little differently using the stock engine for financial reasons:

I'm thinking losing a heat sink for an extra ton of AC20 ammo might be the way to go though. Finding myself a little short at times in longer engagements.

Fantastic Build! Full stars from me.

My personal Edition with Stock Engine and higher Cool Efficiency, but same Ammo:

For the life of me, I can't get this config to work. I'm so ashamed.

Group #1: AC20 (left mouse button)
Group #2: 3x MLas (right mouse button)
    Group #3: 2x SRM4 (thumb mouse button)

All the optimal ranges are the same for these weapons so you can stagger them to help keep your heat levels down. I don't have an ALPHA button on this mech because HSR is so borked right now; the law of averages works for me and so I will go button 1 > button 2 > button 3 in quick succession if I want to load up the damage levels. The rest of the time I pick and choose which weapons I want to fire based on how my attack vector is working out.

This build works like a charm. Here some recent Matches:

Though my useless team lost, i could do almost 1000 Damage (half of it with Lasers and SRMs).

    here another one:

    aaaand another:

    Aaaaand it keeps going on:

Im definitely brawling tooo much, leading to death before end:

This build is so f***ing awesome! I wonder why i can make higher points more often than with my other Phracts.. i think its the SRMs which i can shoot non-stop with the AC20.. and for the almost dead ones, i can clean up with the Lasers to save ammo.. I love this build!

I switched out my Red Centipede for Blagg's version of the Grimm Hunter and I'm loving it!

The version I built and use...

Armor shifted to front slightly on torso and shoulders
    SRM6 w/Artemis

21 rounds for me is just about right, I used to go with 28 but would have rounds left over in the majority of matches but found myself running low on SRM ammo nearly every match.

Works out to 25 SRM shots each and 21 AC20 shots (1020 potential dmg)
    VS
16 shots SRM each and 28 shots AC20. (960 potential dmg)

Very good built. The one two punch of the SRMs and AC20 packs a wallop. The arm SRMs are also useful to scare of those pesky lights.
Not sure the Cataphract is the frame for me though.. too slow and too little armor, and not enough people are scared of you
Blag is certainly a better pilot than me in this thing.

I actually use 4 groups here:
    Left button, left arm SRMs
    Right button, right arm Mlaser
    Button 3, AC20
    Button 4, the rest

    My version:

Stock engine and more heatsinks so I can keep the pressure on in a brawl.

It is a difficult build to run without a support mech with you. You can open armor quickly, but your heat has to be managed to finish harder mechs.

2x SRM's are better IMHO, because you can chain-fire them for a constant barrage. Hope this helps!

Exactly how I ran this to try out Mason's build. Works beautifully. Slower than I usually like, however, without the XL, it is definitely a much tougher mech.

SRM builds will outdamage, but I think it's not as relevant damage due to their spread nature. More pinpoint damage kills faster while doing less damage. hard to know how much you really contribute to a win. gonna pick up this mech and copy this build, thanks op.

I'd intended on using the SRMs as light-swatters. However the current netcode (and new, higher 'mech speeds?) causes my missiles to fly straight through many lights. I was seriously considering carrying a TAG and SSRMs, but I think that'll have a massively negative effect on my damage output.
