I'd seen something like this appear on the battlefield a couple of time, and also had been thinking about how to make the jagers live a little longer. This is what I came up with..... Worth it for the look on their faces ( imagined ) when you survive your side torso being blown out... I've not tried it with erppcs, might be worth it, might be too hot...
I like the weapons load out on that mech, i've been running an XL variant: The speed on it is great for getting out of trouble. PPCs are better on this than ERPPCs. The MLs already generate a fair bit of heat themselves, you don't need more. The MGs are great for stripping exposed components. I might have to give your STD variant a go though, I would love to be able to survive losing a side torso in a jager.
I'm running the XL variant with a spare XL325 I had lying around. I love this combo! The dual PPCs are great for dealing damage and intimidation, and the medium lasers work good up close. The speed from the XL engine is very important, though. It allows me to really move about the battlefield and reach trouble spots easily, or hop in and out of cover fast.
