I'm pretty pumped about this mech. But for 30 bucks i wanted to compare him to everything else around. Oddly enough, his hardpoints and hardpoint location are almost identical to the Heavy Metal. Hopefully a couple people will get one and say that its nothing the same, but on paper it looks exactly like a faster, less JJ capable, less weaponed Heavy Metal. I just wanted to throw this out there before someone bought the Dragon Slayer. As it stands, I'll be waiting to see if this guy is worth a whopping 30 bucks, because currently, hes not showing me ANY-thing we dont already have.

Three matches so far, 4 kills, 3 kills and 800 dmg, 4 kills again. This mech is fast, has jumpjets, is well armored and amazingly sexy looking. You get a fully upgraded mech and a free XL 330 engine. Give it a try
This. I hate getting a Hero 'mech, and then have do dump absurd amounts of Cbills into it in order to get it functional (I'm looking at you, Death's Knell). Dragon Slayer comes with Endo, DHS, and an XL Engine already installed. That's a whole 'nother 'mech's cost upgrades that come installed. Luxury and value.
Since I am looking forward to getting the C-Bill versions I am still waiting for some feedback regarding the viability of XL engines in this thing. Did anyone notice piled deaths caused by side torsos being aimed at and blown away? When the HGNs where new we used a tally sheet for this.
It's quite a bit faster than the Heavy Metal, too, and is also a shorter target, making it easier to take cover with. ...but that's a given, considering the tonnage difference. I'd still recommend waiting until the other Victors are available before checking out the 'Heavy Metal Jr'. unless you're a sad, crazy man like me who buys the thing without ado or thought.
Once you find the right loadout, this thing is awesome! While it is a bummer not being able to mount an AC20 on it, my only serious complaint (and I can't believe I'm saying this) is having the energy hardpoints spread out between the arms and torso, which makes weapons grouping and convergence a little more interesting compared to the Heavy Metal or Victor K, though it is kinda comparable to the Atlas D & K. Other than that it is great, particularly since the XL330 engine can be used for the other Victor variants quite handily.
