I liked the idea of the regular triple PPC AWS-8Q but wanted to have something else to engage with if the enemy closes or to fire while I dissipate heat. Using the ERPPC's in chain fire you can get off around 4-5 shots before you get too hot. When I get upwards of 70% heat I use the ML's if target is in range. Using these in chain fire you can drop heat fairly well and still dish out some damage.

A variant of this is to remove the ERPPC's and go back to the normal PPC's. I honestly don't have a problem with this unless I'm running with my clan and they need me to have more reach. This isn't a brawler setup, even with the armor. This is direct fire support. If you chain fire the PPC's you can get off about six shots or so without over heating. Using positioning to your advantage and making sure you don't over commit yourself to the fray is your best bet.

Admittedly this build is very heat sensitive. Anything with three PPC's would be. You just have to be judicious in your usage of the weapon systems.

Dude this thing runs WAY too hot. I guess if you want to act as super long range support thats cool cause you have time to cool down but why not just go with straight PPCs and be able to mix it up a bit?

In the second paragraph I concede that using ERPPC's makes it run hot and for some it would be wise to change to regular PPC's.

The thing of it is you have to learn how to use the weapons to control your heat. If you are trying to spam PPC's you can't stay within your heat threshold. You have to play this setup slowly. Pick your shots and work with your team by focus firing. When I first started playing this build it frustrated me. Then I adjusted my play style and became more patient and it has paid off.

I've had a few games of over 700 damage with four to five kills. Most games I'm around 300-400 damage with 2-3 kills.

As for being "super long range support," I disagree. Your at your best with a setup like this between 200-600 meters. Right there with your team. Position yourself properly so you can spam PPC shots and Medium Lasers. Honestly, if done right I can get off 4-5 shots with my regular PPC's and while I dissipate heat I use the Medium lasers which build little heat.
