PGI Announces "Project Phoenix" (The Unseen, Reseen, Whatever)

I am looking at the revealed Locust, LCT-1V (4 ballistics, 1 CT energy) with a STD160 and a top speed of 129,6 (Max engine 170).


Very close to the SDR-5K. Hm.

 

I'm really interested in the Battlemaster, sadly no way I'll get a purchase like that past my wife :'-(

 

I'm not good at chassis weights but it looks like the spider is going to have two extra tons to spend on weapons and armor when you hit the speed cap. So unless the locust has crazy awesome hardpoints I am actually doubting the mech doing anything new or exciting. That said I still want a set.

I would like a chance to see community warfare before I judge how much I want the point bonus. I've alredy spent more money on this game than I should admit. That said the extra premium does make this a fantastic deal.

 

I am curious how the bonus standard chassis are provided... can we choose the two standard 'Mechs or will PGI give us just two variants randomly.

 

I don't like how they force the assault pilot to buy mechs he does not want to play with. Founders were able to choose the mech they wanted.

That being say, I wanted a Locust since the launch, and I'll gladly pay for a special variant (even if one can tell it will be crap). Actually I purchased the 40$ pack, since I like the Shadow Hawk too.

 

$80 pack for me, just because I wants it.

 

I was in the same boat... until I convinced my wife that I needed an expendable income budget that I could spend on video games, board games, etc without needing her approval. Now I can buy whatever I want... as long as I work overtime days to "earn it".

 

I've already easily blown my video game budget for the year, and then some. Any overtime I work my sons mother gets half of it with the other half going to the Tax man. So I get to work harder, longer, for no money! YES!!!!

I'm going to start a special donation charity fund called "Starving Firefighter MechWarrior Online Fund". Either that or I will start pimping myself out; weddings, divorces, bachelorette parties, bat mitzvah. The good stuff! Special Note: Ladies, please be over 21.

I really only want the first three mechs but in the interests of testing for MechSpecs I will have to get all of them.

 

They have revealed the Shadow Hawk, it looks pretty good.

I would probably buy the 80$ pack as well. Since I'm euro, it will be like 60€ so it's more affordable. I have like 4 mechs that I use (eh casu), it will changes a lot of things. Maybe it's too much but I guess I'll sell a lot of the "normal" variants (after xping them ofc)

LOL I haven't really started one yet. I've been so busy bug hunting this site, putting out fires on the Official forums, and doing real life stuff. Probably best just to use the regular Donations links on the site so that everything can be tracked.

Well considering the fact the benefactors will expect , nay demand, you to do videos on All the phoenix mechs.

All of them, a benefactor video for each variant.... Then i dont see any of the benefactors minding if you used some donations towards getting the overlord pack.

Maybe a poll in the benefactor area just to ensure that no-body minds

All the Project Phoenix mechs will be tested don't worry.

I won't have access to them until October 15th just like the rest of you but I will get the videos out very shortly afterwards. As for using Benefactors money? Three members have already donated close to the amount needed to cover the cost of an Overlord package, with specific instructions that I utilize their donations for that purpose.

I have my hands full with getting the Build Ratings Engine completed, an Ilya/Cataphract Benefactors Exclusive video and another little surprise that I have in store for them in the coming weeks.

No rest for the wicked.
