We are currently working on the Topic Ratings Engine (the star rating system we had on the old site was integrated through a mod / add-on) so that we can once again rate our builds. Unfortunately the Topic Ratings Engine we bought for this SMF system is bug ridden and completely non-funtional due to the bugs and complete lack of proper coding (we've discovered typos and array errors and all kinds of slop so far). Verbosity is looking through the coding to see what he can fix however the author of another free mod (that the Pro mod we bought was based on by another author) is willing to custom code the free mod and upgrade it to what our feature needs are.... at a significant cost of $100.00 USD. So, what we are doing right now? Verbosity is working with the files he has in order to try and sort out bad code from good code and make this functional for us. In the mean time we are continuing to raise donations (thank you to those who have done so thus far) and if we reach that $100.00 we will look at purchasing a custom coded completely functional (and author supported) product from a reputable source. I know, I know, buyer beware LOL I learned my lesson with the "Pro" mod (which was more like an Alpha POS than a PRO anything). That is all! Michael
We have raised 50% of the monies required for the custom voting script, thank you to all those of you who have coughed up some cabbage, so have given the developer the green light on beginning his coding pass on the Free Version and upgrading it to what we need. Don't worry, I've done research on this guy versus the other original "Pro Mod" dev and this guy actually is on the Alpha Testing team for Dream Portal and SMF 2.1

My paypal is empty sadly as I stocked up on MC during the last MC sale and pretty much emptied myself out. Maybe someone else will stand up and donate the last of what is needed? It is a good cause! How else am I supposed to easily tell whose kungfu is best?!?!?!
I won't agree with you on that on verbosity, as I am fully aware how difficult it can be sometimes to debug a broken script. Things can get "hooked" to so many different files, that it can be extremely tedious to isolate the one line of code that is broken. Thank you so much for trying though.
I agree with Morgana, Verb. Debugging some else's code is like trying to understand someone else's kids' first words. Shit ain't easy!!! I'm amazed you were able to repair what you did with minimal knowledge of SMF and zero knowledge of the script. We are 40$ from our goal and have till Sunday(ish) to raise it. We will make it and this time next week we will have the ratings engine up and running and we will all look back and laugh and think "Good times. Good times!!!"
LOL indeed!!! We were also able to test the automated system under the new settings and that works too so we killed two birds with one stone! Thank you LOL
This is still in development. Just giving you guys a little update since a few of you have PM'd me in the last 2-3 days. As of June 24th the author wrote.... This is good news as it gives us more time to collect the last little bit needed to purchase it. Stay tuned!
